We had unforgettable trip up to the Hörnle in a sunny summer day. The personnel was very professional and helpful. They speak basic English and that was just enough for us to understand how the lift sits system works. Nevertheless I managed almost to fall on the ground when we supposed to come off but assistant from the top reacted very fast and helped me.
The view from the top of the maintain is unforgettable. If you are in the area, that's a one must to visit activity.

We spent a day, purchasing two trips down the alpine coaster. We also did the zip line experience and enjoyed a lovely lunch in the bier garden. The views are spectacular and worth extra hiking. The coaster is an absolute blast!

This medieval church stands on the southern stretch of the Romantic Road.
This typical Bavarian Cathedral seems to attract people from all over the world. In great repair (obviously constantly) this houss of the Lord is meticulously clean. During service you can´t get in. Very bright inside and breathtaking murals! Parking two minutes away, cheap (2 Euros for 2 hours - takes care of lunch time as well!)

A bizarre, yet glamorous, castle built by King Ludwig II.
This was much smaller than it looks, but well worth the trip. We have been to Neueschwanstei and Herren Chiemsee, but this was the best. Very cozy and ornate, you get a real feel as to how Ludwig lived. The tour guide was very nice. Guidebooks are available in different languages but tours are guided. Our tour was in German but she answered our questions in English. You have to buy a ticket to get a tour time. In the winter all you can see is the castle not the grounds or other buildings.

Awesome experience for the kids. I was a bit scared but my 10 year old reassured me that it will be ok. ;) The ski lift will take you up to the top, but if you are not comfortable sitting on a bench with your feet dangling, you might want to skip it.

This house is a gem in a back street in Murnau with a very pretty garden (designed by Munter and Kandinsky). Inside are a lot of paintings by Munter and some furniture and fitting painted by Kandinsky, both being founders of the Blaue Reiter movement.

Jahrhundert.

This Benedictine monastery is noted for the large, beautifully decorated, domed chapel. Also on the premises is a large gift shop that offers many products made by the monks.
