Tired after a long journey I decided to have dinner at this restaurant just a few minutes walking from my hotel. I had been looking at the menu beforehand and the sweetbread looked mouthwatering.
I arrived at the restaurant but unfortunately I was told there was no place because I did not make a reservation.
I explained that I only wanted to order a main course " the sweetbread" so the staff was so kind to organise a table for me knowing that I would not be there for a very long time.
The sweetbread was fantastic served with spinach and different mushrooms in a superb sauce and topped with a thin layer of foie gras so yammie.
It was so extremely kind of the staff to fit me in anyway. great service great place great food.

Tucked away just behind the Grote Markt a pleasant setting with attentive staff. Food was good, reasonably priced and well presented. Definitely worth a visit and being off the main tourist trail is a plus.

I went to have lunch at Marcus with a customer of mine, it was my 3rd visit here.
We took the lunch at Eur 41 and a very good bottle of wine, the total amount of the bill was just under Eur 190 with coffee and tea,
Very good relation price/ quality, innovative kitchen with many different tastes.

This I think is the best way to summarize the new concept launched by its new owners. Not expensive at all, decent food, efficient and friendly service. Excellent in combination with a walk or bike tour in the surrounding Scheldt-Leie landscape.
On the downside: huge portions to our taste. Côte à l'os could be better (not really 'à point' and too much fat). The truffle taste in the carpaccio is a little overwhelming. But that's all ...

We stopped for lunch on our way to France and told the staff we could only spare 90 min, so they proposed us a nice lunch with cod for starters and then chicken. The food was excellent with very fresh products. We got several small bites with our apero cocktail, and then had the proposed glass of wine to go with the dishes.
The settings is very minimalistic, we were lucky to sit outside. Service was very friendly and perfect. A bit on the expensive side.

Food and wine are decent. The outside Terrace is nice. Tables are very close, so this is the place for a romantic tête à tête, contrary to what the previous reviewer stated.
Warning: they have no form of electronic payment whatsoever. I had to run to the bank afterwards. Fortunately, they trusted me.
So, all by all a decent place to have lunch or dinner. Only the speed of the kitchen remains my biggest concern. Especially at noon; in the evening this would be less of a problem.

Bistro Bordo is a cosy restaurant on the verge of the town center. The pleasant dining room immediately made us feel like home.
The menu is all about fondue. Our group had the Mexican and the regular fondue, both of which were delicious. The same could be said of the (affordable) wine.
During the entire meal, we got the full attention of the hostess, who kept bringing us new sauces, fries and fajitas.
For an informal, relaxing, tasty and affordable dining experience in Kortrijk, head for Bistro Bordo!

This is my favorite place in Kortrijk, I came here almost every month. Prices are high, but the environment is cozy and the breakfast is quite good, natural orange juice, good coffee, delicious vienoisseries, yogurt and pistolet. Definitively, the place to go if you want a good breakfast in Kortrijk.

We had a wonder meal. We both chose fish which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. For desert we chose Creme Bulee which was great too
