Zloty Gron Restaurant is located at the top of ZLOTY GRON mountain. The restaurant serves polish and european dishes.
We stopped off here for dinner, this is a modern looking restaurant, however we were disappointed with the food. The food took a while to arrive and came with a pile of green beans which were very hard and unedible. The prices were high and we ended up leaving a lot on our plates. The view is very nice but quality of food poor. We would not return to eat here. The toilets are very nice !
Traditional local food and background, such a fast and polite service and really unbelievable prices. Normally I would rate 4 stars but in this abandoned area I go for five!! Good job.

We went for a day trip to Istebna and decided to try this restaurant for lunch given the 17 X 5* reviews on Tripadvisor. Well that was a mistake, for sure ( I have since checked Google reviews where you will find reviews similar to my one).So the restaurant is beautiful inside. Decorated in Polish "mountain" style, clean and bright with all staff in traditional Polish dress. The restaurant was half full. Our order was taken and drinks were served with some bread and smalec( lard with bacon spread) and then we waited...and waited...and waited. It was 1 hour before our soups (1 hour for soup?!) arrived. The waitress did not once come over to apologize. My husband's garlic soup did not taste of garlic, only cheese. My zurek soup was OK, nothing special. My salmon main course had too much dill and tasted old. My husbands golonko (pork knuckle) was so hard that he could not cut through the meat.It seems that the waitress had accidentally given our soup to another table, even though our mains were ready, so they put the mains back in the oven while they prepared more soup for us. We were next to the kitchen so my husband overheard the shouting. However, please note that all of the other diners we saw also had to wait around an hour for their food to be served. We were a family with two yery young children, so after waiting one hour for what was already a late lunch, we were already extremely fed up.We had wanted a quick lunch so we could go for a walk and enjoy the autumn sunshine but it took us two hours to get out of this nightmare restaurant by which time the sun was gone.Unfortunately the story does not end there. One hour later both my son and my husband had terrible diarrhoea. They only thing that they both ate but not me or my daughter was the "garlic" soup.Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!I am assuming the the 17 X 5* reviews on Tripadvisor were written by friends and family of the owner!

I would strongly recommended this fantastic place to all tourists, skiers and other guests visiting Beskydy and especially Istebna village. This is very nice, small restaurant located in older than 100 years hut with absolutely unique atmosphere, homely decor and very supportive staff. No question, why this restaurant is recommended as the best one in Beskydy area by famous magazine "Podróże". But the most amazing is the food served there. You can choose between different dishes (special menu for kids), regional specialties are also available and I would recommend all of them: kwaÅnica (sauerkraut soup), hunter's food, Silesian rolada, pork chop from Istebna etc. are really delicious. Prices also acceptable. Believe this is place worth to visit every time you are there.
Cozy restaurant with home-made food in the small village in Kysuce region. We cook with love so that you like to come back to us :).
Tasty and quite cheap. Regional cuisine. Friendly stuff. Great location in the very centre of Stara Bistrica.

Beautiful restaurant and amazing views.. sadly food is not fresh and disappoint. Got some polish traditional food, like kotlet which was hard as rock.. and sauce for duck was too salty... in addition my Mum got some ''extra'' chips with her potatoes.. gross.. i would not eat there again.
I visited this place onmy way from Hungary to Poland. Very nice interior, most of the furnitures and decoration carved in real wood. The food was very good, cesnakova polievka (garlic soup) very rich yet balanced. Smazony sir (fried chese) very delicate and smooth, the breding had cleen oil taste. Service also very good, fast and polite. I recommend this place!
