Excellent stay in Long Yun Leisure Farm. We booked directly on their web site for a family of 4 room. When we got to Taiwan, used Line to communicate with them on pick up from Fenqihu train station & they were very responsive via Line. During stay, they offer free transport to Shizhuo so that we can take bus up to the Alishan Recreation Area. The room is spacious & view is fantastic (we book room 511 & they gave us 521). We were also lucky that there was a tour group during our stay & we got to join in the mochi making session & night forest walk for fireflies as free programme. The room price was inclusive of breakfast & dinner so it was value for money. Best part was the friendly staff. We had an unexpected transport arrangement for check-out and one of the staff (a young man who is part of the farm management's family) was very helpful to help us find a viable bus route down the hill (infor on a bus from Fenqihu in the morning which was not available from google web) & drove us to Fenqihu to board the bus. Really appreciate his help. And the farm never ever ask us write any review for their good service. If we were to visit Alishan again, we will definitely stay there again!

My wife and I stayed at Yeashow Villa for two nights in order to hike the many beautiful trails in this area. We made the reservation on Booking.com. The Villa has an amazing location: It is located a block from the bus station and literally just steps from the train, which we took going back down on our return to Taipei. The price was very reasonable (pay in cash upon arrival). Our room was in a newer building a very short walk from the main building and was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing! One of them took us on an impromptu evening walk to a nearby grove to see countless fireflies blinking in the dark! He also ran after us to give us an umbrella when we were caught in the rain. Recommendations for places to eat were excellent. The only glitch was that the wifi router in the new building failed, so to do internet work we went over to the main lobby. Not a big deal, and they've probably already fixed it. Very enjoyable stay, and we highly recommend it!

This is a very typical Taiwanese B&B. Decor is a little old fashioned but it's clean and the 4 person room was very spacious. The lady boss is very warm and hospitable. We spent two nights there and had dinner there too. Staying in a B&B with a restaurant attached was of great help since it rained incessantly throughout our stay and the place was covered in fog. Quite beautiful and majestic actually. The B&B is located halfway up the mountains, about 40 mins from Jhu Chi village centre and about 1.5 hours from Fengqihu. If you want to go to the Alishan National Park proper, it's another 2.5 hours.

The room has a natural nice scent. I think it is Sandalwood - a large piece of it! TV reception is good. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. There is a great cook and there is a very diligent young chatty lady staff in keeping the place neat and tidy! We stayed for 3 nights! Shiok.

My parents and I had been to Taiwan many times, but at Shizuo, we were truly charmed. Our family of four stayed 3 nights at Siang Ting B&B, where we were very warmly received by the owner Mr. Qi, his wife and his parents. The place is very clean and is strategically located near the start of an idyllic and scenic walking trail. With Mr. Qi's profound knowledge of the area, he could provide us with useful tips on which walking trails to take and where to eat. He or his wife would drive us to the main road at Shizhuo for our onward journey to places of interest, and fetch us again when we were ready to go back to the B&B. At the front of the B&B is a pavilion with panoramic view of the valley and the town. Here we had wonderfully memorable moments, sipping award winning tea (prepared by Mr. Qi) in the chill of the night, watching cars traversing the meandering roads, mist enveloping the main road and then disappearing; and having breakfast against a backdrop of greenery, and a cacophony of birds chirping.

My family was greeted by 2 barking black dogs and a very loud and friendly lady. The dogs still barked at us after 3 nights but they never bit. The lady owner doesn’t speak English but that’s fine because we conversed in Mandarin and their dialect. She is helpful in every way. She told us where to catch the sunset, how to order breakfast, where to have our meals and how to buy our grocery. She gave us some tea which was from her plantation and showed us around the communal kitchen which all guests can use. As it was winter and the got dark by 5.30pm, she advised us not to return too late for our safety because our rented car didn’t come with fog lights. It got rather foggy 2 nights and it was not easy to drive without fog lights. She went to her little vegetable plot just below the accommodation and plucked many types of vegetables for us. She was so generous ..... I think the amount of vegetables could feed a village! She even taught me how to wash them. That night, we had instant noodles with eggs and her vegetables. The vegetables were really fresh and delicious. The kitchen is very well-equipped. Pots, kettles, knives, chopping boards, ladles, tongs, plates and bowls. However, guests need to prepare their own fork and spoon ..... oil and condiments if they want to do serious cooking. There is also 2 refrigerators for guests to store their food. There are 4 gas stoves and 3 wash basins. Her only request was to wash and dry and return all items after use. About the room. We booked 2 quad rooms for 4 people. Each room was very spacious and comfortable for 2. Don’t expect sparkling white bed linens. Our rooms had pretty gaudy ones but they were clean. No bath towels provided but there was sets of face towels and toothbrushes in the room. There was no toilet papers, too, but many packets of tissues papers were provided. No electric kettle in room but there were hot and cold water dispenser in 2 convenient locations. It was winter so we had thick blankets. So although there wasn’t an air conditioner or heater, we didn’t feel cold at all. One thing to note, for the 3 nights we stayed, there was no housekeeping service. Bed linens were not changed. There was a TV but only local broadcasts available. WiFi was reliable. The floor was not carpeted and squeaked a little when one walked on it. Bedroom slippers provided but they were not the disposable ones. The bathroom. It was big and clean but there was a drop. So I had to be careful when stepping down and into the bathroom. The water was hot and pressure powerful. Toilet bowl is white and clean. There was a hairdryer. The owner rose early. Buddhist music was played early in the morning for about 30mins to 1h. The homestay is situated quite a distance above the town where the bus station is. As such, there was peace and quiet whenever we were in. There were other guests, too, but we hardly met or even heard them. We only heard the lady owner. When she spoke, “the whole village could hear her”. Hahahahaha...... Parking. A little inconvenient if one doesn’t drive. But the lady owner does provide transport and all one needs to do is to ask. The parking space is enough for 6-7 cars. No charge. Places of interest. This is about 15min drive to 奋起湖 (Fenchihu), 1h drive to Alishan Scenic Area. This is also just about 300m away from the starting point of the Tea Trail (茶之道), a very easy and tranquil trail beside a tea plantation and into the bamboo forest. Photographers to note, this is also a stone’s throw away from a spot for 云海 (seas of cloud), 琉璃光 and sunset. Many almost camped there just to get a perfect shot. The room rate was on the high side. We booked ours through Agoda. Our stay was a very pleasant one. We highly recommend this homestay.

we verbleven hier 2 nachten.
