ONS DAGELIJKS KOST is an cosy and homy special beer cafe/lunch room and restaurant on the nicest square of Breskens! With us you can have a delicious lunch, diner and bubbling. In addition to the various dishes on the menu, we offer you a large assortment
On our recent trip to Cadzand, we did a bit of car touring on a rainy Tuesday. Many restaurants and shops were still closed as it was the end of February. We arrived at this restaurant and only a few people were inside. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, but our fish and chips took almost 30 minutes to get come to us. Not sure what took so long since the place was virtually empty. The IPA and fish were yummy. We were glad to be warm and dry with full bellies.

Very nice on pre- and after season... nice vieuw on the big ships that go near the beach in to the Schelde river... We always take the beachhouse tapa dish ,one for 2 or 4 persons and than a Main dish, all of that with a AIX provence rose wine....

This 2 starred (Michelin) restaurant did impress me. It is located close to Breskens just behind the long sea dike. From the outside the restaurant is not that spectacular. A 1-floor white building, and the inside features the dining room with the adjacent kitchen behind a large glass panel. We had taken the package deal (5 course diner, and a night in one of the suites). We were having the suite blanche which is located next to the restaurant. This is a tasteful decorated apartment which has it all (sound, television, wifi). The chef welcomed us to the restaurant and navigated us through the options. You will get here what the region offers, seafood, fine cheeses, and vegetables from the restaurantâs vegetable garden. My highlights was the appetizer that came as a creme brulee in a nicely cut lemon, and the (smoked) carrots that came with the main course. Any issues? Yes, they like salt here, difficult to escape from it. The servicing staff is an army, and on occasion, robotic. Putting the plate on your table and rattling off what is on there is far from really connecting with your customer. Towards the end of the evening, you saw visible less pressure among the servicing staff which made them better accessible.

Warm welcome and friendly service. We really enjoyed the nibbles while waiting for our main dish to arrive. The portions were very generous, and everything very tasty. Wouldn't hesitate to return, recommended!

What a horrible experience! Had a bunch of guys standing very close behind us, using our table (where we were having dinner) as their bar/trash can. When politely asking them to stop, as well asking the staff to interfere (also the shift manager), nothing changed, in fact it worsened. We had to ask the staff several times to interfere before anything happened. It almost turned into a physical fight and two of the hooligans broke two glasses. Still, no apologies from the staff at any point. They seemed to know the hooligans and didn't care to do anything about it. Mediocre food, awful service & bad attitude. By the way, if you are hoping to get good local fish, this is not the place. The fish tasted as it had been frozen and all fish dishes were drowned in cream.

This bar/restaurant is on a very beautiful spot direct at the beach. Nice building with 3 areas. Inside, outside with a roof and outside without a roof. We didn't eat here but went here for a drink and a little snack.Staff very friendly and the menu has plenty to choose from. Our food was very nice and well served.Price/quality ratio is very good. I would definitely go back here when in Breskens again.Recommended

We started off a bit on the wrong foot as they couldn't find our booking and seemed flustered, and I was flustered because I didn't see why it mattered given that they had many tables available. Things improved from there. Someone helpfully explained the entire menu (which was in Dutch!). We settled on mussels nature, which came in a huge traditional pot with frites and sauce. We also had the shrimp croquettes and one order of bread with herbed butter. Everything came out at the same time and was fresh and delicious. The mussels weren't the best I've ever had - I thought the broth was too salty and too oniony - maybe the could have had more options (there were two - nature (the one we took) and garlic and cream. But they were good, and it was (almost) season, so we were happy with the choice. The rest of the food was fresh and delicious too. With drinks, I think it came to around 55-60 EUR. Very reasonable. And one of the server spoke Spanish (which my husband also speaks) - this simplified things as English wasn't getting much traction. A nice location with free 1.5 hour parking. Recommended!

A gastronomic restaurant near the harbour of Breskens. Minimalistic interior, expect lots of seafood and local products. All tables have a stunning view over the marina and the "Westerschelde"
We've visited Spetters more than a dozen times now, and never experienced any disappointment. You get plates that are (luckily) not too heavy on the stomach, but always combine wonderful flavours with local ingredients. The place has been redesigned recently, with more light colours, and continues to offer a splendid view on the yachting harbour of Breskens. Don't rely on the website menu too much: it's not updated that often. That said, it would be nicer if the menu changed every month or so (in stead of every 3 months or even less frequently): our "dozen times" would have become "several dozen times"...
