Reviews on Bar food in Roskilde, Zealand, Denmark. Home to the four-day Roskilde Festival, arguably the best European rock festival, hilly Roskilde is less than 20 miles from Copenhagen. If hordes of rock stars aren't pillaging the town of 50,000, the excellent Viking ship museum is Roskilde's prime attraction. Featuring five ships discovered at the bottom of the fjord, you can add to the Viking experience by rowing the fjord on an hour-long longboat trip. The town is also famed for its much adapted 12th-century Roskilde Domkirke Cathedral.

Very good location on the main shopping street in Roskilde this place offers lunch and dinner and once a month a brunchbuffet. We went for lunch and the menu card is mainly French inspired dished with some Danish classics. I had a salad with grilled tuna and my wife tartare frites. Both dishes were very good. The fries were particularly good and the portions were a good size a well. The the prices are reasonable for a restaurant on the main street. A lot of outdoor seating which was nice this sunny Saturday.

It´s not every day you are presented with an authentic Italian Pizza in Denmark (or outside Italy). But these guys "pull´s it of" Maybe because they actually are Italian guys.Tasteful and delicious, with a touch of Naples. The owners (who makes the pizza for you) are really nice and serviceminded. If located in Roskilde, you dont wanna go anywhere else if you have urge for Pizza.

A nice place with an outdoor site too. Tapas is their main menu, the price is ok, but I would prefere that there were more on the plate. We had to eat a lot of bread to get full.

For great cozy coffee shop atmosphere this place is perfect. The menu in the cafe is limited to a few choices, but the ones I've had are all excellent. It is a relaxing place to chat, enjoy a simple meal or hear live music (check the schedule). Gimle is non-profit therefore they keep their prices low. Cheap cup of coffee (with FREE refills which is mostly unheard of in Denmark!) Beer prices are also definitely cheaper than elsewhere. There is also a rotund which books bands and charge an entrance fee, but the rotund is definitely more geared to older teens, younger 20 somethings.
