The one restaurant that definately deserves 5 stars. They serve local food as well as european cuisine. Try local if you like discovering domestic cuisine in foreign countries. Also the ambient is astonishing, luxury with combination of modern style, perfect. The staff is very friendly, proffesional and they know how to handle their guests. There was nothing to complain about this place.Really a dining experience.

I believe this is one of the best places in Uzhgorod. Situated on the bank of the river, provides nice view of river and city. The restaurant specializes in local and European cuisine. We've had shashlyk (meat on the skewer) and pork steak with salads. And of course solyanka - one of my favourite soups. Local beer is served as well. Nice, young staff - pretty attentive. Price level - I'd say average as for Uzhgorod. I've paid less that 1000 grivna for two lunches. Recommended!

We were recommended by an ethnologist specialised in Ukrainian culture and history some time ago and we took an opportunity to visit Desta u Notarya. Itâs bit far from the city centre but itâs worthwhile visiting there.Good selection of foods and drinks plus interesting decor with senses of humour and twist of intelligence. All of us enjoyed there.

Cool experience - to eat in a former castle.Large menu with many choices. Not very friendly staff but the food was good. Until the next day, when both my husband and I were sick. We both had dishes that had mushrooms added and we think our upset stomach (which lasted for FIVE days) was due to either old mushrooms or bad mushrooms mixed with ok mushrooms. So if you eat here, don't order anything with mushrooms and perhaps make sure there are other patrons. This restaurant was virtually empty when we were here and it was high tourist season. Very small selection of wine, especially local Ukrainian wine which was a disappointment.Recommend for the experience. Not expensive - our meal with tip was $32USD.Thank you, YayeMama for your comment! If your upset stomachs were due to mushrooms the sickness is coming max in three hours, not the next day. Any way we are very disappointed and wish you be healthy and wealthy!

A place of tasty rest in Uzhgorod restaurant KITCHEN
Wau! There is literally nothing I could say that would not be perfect about this restaurant. The atmosphere and interier are beautiful, cosy, designed, everything fits perfectly to this place. Staff are the nicest people ever, young, smiling all the time, nothing is problem for them :) And now the food - food is gastro-orgasm! Amazing! We will be back!

A cosy midcentury style cafe in the old center of the town. We serve specialty coffee only and our waffle sandwiches will not leave you indifferent. Various breakfast options and alternative brew.
I had a waffle with bacon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato (it was supposed to have a fried egg, but that's not for me)... Delicious! Savory or sweet waffles, you're choice. And, no matter what you choose, you will not go wrong. Their flavored lemonades are fun, too. My friends enjoyed their choices as well. We liked Eat Me so much that we went back a second time during our short excursion in Uzhorod.
