Zagreb got its start as two medieval fortress towns atop hills overlooking the Sava River, and was reborn in the Baroque period as center of business, perfectly located on routes connecting Central Europe to the Adriatic Sea. These days, Zagreb is the heart of contemporary Croatia’s culture, art, sports, and academics, but its history is not forgotten. The unique blend of medieval towers, 19th century palaces, open-air markets, and ancient cathedrals, make Zagreb the perfect city to explore.

Hotel National is new and comfortable site situated near the centre of Zagreb. It is easy to access by tram, car or bus, and in a 15 min walk you can be on the main Jelacic square. Hotel has 19 cosy rooms with bathroom, a penthouse suite and a charming bar with terrace. It is a top quality choice for business people and tourists visiting the capital individually or in groups.
One night stay, quick and friendly check in after long drive, great coffee in the bar and a top-clean room with good AC. Convenient location, within walking distance of bus station which has most travel services. Safe car parking and cheerful staff.

Visited Zagreb as part of a European trip following National football team. Hotel room was basic but setting, location and service was excellent. Easy walking distance to main square and historic buildings. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here for 2 nights, it was our first visit in Zagreb and although the apartment is outside of City Center (20min by tram) it was perfect. Apartment is located on a quiet side street with good parking possibilities (free of charge) and only 5 min walking distance to tram station (Uber is a good alternative and cheap). The Apartment was very clean and cosy. New bathroom with shower and kitchen with all stuff you need. Hosts Petra and Igor are superb! More than kind and providing you with all the information and tips you need! Thank you very much :-)
