Good size rooms with quick Wi-Fi, fridge but no tea or coffee. They are looking a little tired. Parking is outside the hotel and they will give you a 24 hour parking ticket for 5 euros. Service at the hotel was generally poor. Obtaining drinks in the early evening proved to be time consuming for 2 glasses of wine and a beer. Breakfast was worse with only one person taking hot breakfast orders. She insisted that she would only take orders from the table and then never arrived. Gave up and had 2 croissants instead. Coffee machine kept running out of water and kitchen staff could not keep up with need to replenish items

Family run, the hotel opened in June 2005. Livestock are a family estate, we wanted to complement our work by opening a bed-time, such was the acceptance by customers and satisfy our liking, we decided to open a hotel in the center of Zafra chasing the same philosophy, customer exquisite and relaxed atmosphere.
We stayed here on our way back from Portugal and so glad we did. Lovely small hotel in the heart of Zafra !! Our room was spacious and very clean, a bonus was an air conditioner. It is located very near the old town and only minutes from great bars and restaurants. Parking was right outside the front door. Highly recommend this lovely little hotel !!

Great location on the square. The room was better than the star rating of the hotel would suggest. But ..... 1) The receptionist didn't speak English. 2) There's no staff on site overnight once the restaurant closes. 3) Breakfast was included but only from 8am which was too late. The first day, I ended up buying something from a nearby garage. The second day, one of the restaurant guests helped us negotiate a take-out breakfast bag. 4) Room heating was a bit hit or miss. My room was really cold & took forever to warm up. 5) Lots of noise from the street outside.

A pleasant small hotel built into the old city walls, at a great price. There is a also a great restaurant with seating in a patio out front, indoor seating, or a stunning garden patio behind the hotel (where we had dinner and breakfast. The food is traditional "venta" food, very good at very reasonable prices. The breakfast (included in the room price) is waiter served with lots of choices, far better than the usual buffet style hotel breakfasts. I had tostada con tomate y queso, really good. Finally, the service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We had a wedding nearby so we stayed in the Aparthotel with our dog. He was sick and Florencio helped us out. He was very kind, understanding and empathetic to our situation. The owner really cares about his business and his customers. We want to thank him. If you are looking for a nice place to stay with great customer service, this is the place. Thank you!

Check in closes at 7.00pm. So if you arrive after then you need to book yourself in via a screen outside the hotel. In theory this is should be easy. In practice it is a bit difficult especially when you are tired, hungry and it's dark. Booking numbers don't always work - it can be a bit frustrating. You'll need your passport, credit card and some patience. Once you're in the hotel, it is very nice. Strange not to have any staff around, it felt very unnatural for a hotel. There is a telephone number for a night time call assistance. The rooms are of a good size, clean bathroom, albeit a bit small. The beds are comfy and there are several pillows available if needed. No restaurant facilities were available in the hotel but a short walk into town gives you several options. Parking outside the hotel, whilst not 100% secure it is better than parking on the street. Good value and a good location for the town.

Located in the historic town of Zafra, this hotel offers a gourmet Restaurat, attractive accommodation and free Wi-Fi. Originally a Roman villa, it is a 30-minute drive from Merida. Enjoy the central location of Los Balcones de Zafra in the central square of the town of Zafra, Badajoz. Rest in the hotel's beautifully restored rooms, with their mix of grand interiors and modern comforts including air conditioning and TV. There are 2 exclusive suites with private lounges, separated by a beautiful seating area with a fireplace, and a patio with arches and marble columns. It has also retained the villa's original impluvium. Later, soak up the sun on the terrace or enjoy a massage. There is also a special badminton court, where you can play an alternative, squash-style version of the game. The hotel also has a shop selling a range of local Iberian hams; and traditional dishes can be enjoyed at the hotel's restaurant La Artesa. Seville city, airport and river harbour is at 70-minute drive away.
Great atmosphere hotel in the main square. The building is authentic, rooms great, service good. Breakfast extensive, price more than reasonable. Bikes could be parked in a separate location in the hotel.

Modern rooms. Hard bed. We paid double price of next days price due to show on in town. Biggest problem was the air con in the room just did not bring temperature down. So lots of fan noise but no cold air. Breakfast toast butter and jam with 4 coffees reasonable at €6.60. Parking on street outside ,if you're lucky, free and safe.

A nice albergue on the Via de la Plata. Friendly staff. Good facilities. Was 12 Euros with breakfast (10 without). Just a few steps off the path and close to interesting section of town. Recommended for walkers and bikers on the Camino de Santiago.
