It's only recently opened and well worth it if you're looking for something other than the usual fare at tourist prices. Recommend the stuffed peppers and "Nino's rellenos" - cabbage rolls with minced meat baked in tomatoes. Service is excellent. Courtyard is really lovely. Not at all crowded

Wish there were a spot between average and very good. Somehow the food did not come off as typico. Tried the pollo Yucatecan style and it was luke warm nesting in its banana leaves, though juicy. The tortillas were hot. The pork dish in cubes tasted just like the one down the street the day before. Service excellent, Good people watching as familias pull up on motos to pay their cable TV bills. Not my fave.

Some of Izamal ... The City: With walls painted in ocher, their carriages and patterned streets, emphasizing its Colonial appearance. Izamal is lived and vibrates in a magical journey through time, by the Yucatan Maya Colonial Yucatan and the Yucatan Curr
We just ate here...tacos and nachos. The food was mediocre although the tacos were better than the nachos. At least they were hot. My chaya pina was tasty but a little sweet. The staff were inattentive. We were never asked about our food nor if we wanted another drink. We tried to pay with a credit card but they were unable to get the machine to work (or so they said). A couple at the next table informed us the desserts are from Costco, the chocolate cake is good, the cheesecake not so much. That was helpful. Although the artwork on the walls was lovely, and the restaurant quite quaint because of it, we wonât go back.

Our first meal in Izamal did not disappoint in this spotless el centro spot. We disappointed our meal, though, by not being able to finish the combo plate and Yucatecan style pork chops. Giant servings. We should have shared the combo. The grilled chorizo stuffed into HOT hecho a mano tortillas would have been enough. Or you could pop in and just have the tortilla soup. Good salsas, and not as piquant as the waitress warns. Right on the zocalo.

Great service! The food is absolutely delicious. Also a very beautiful place to have a meal at. Right in the centre of town. A walk away from the monastery! The food was delicious! Big portions! A must stop when in town! Thank you very much for the warm service!
