If you prize ambiance and trendy over quality of food this is a place for you.The menu is a fusion of "japanese" with Peruvian/Oriental cuisine. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The service was awful. They were nice about it by offering a free dessert in compensation. The place was filled with young people having a lot of fun. The music was too loud.An apology, thank you for the comments to improve for you.

Very impressed with this restaurant when four of us dined there April 3rd . The service was behond excellent, attentive and pleasant ....more staff than patrons .....although we were there during off peak hours . The food was also excellent , and plentiful . The restaurant is new and the decor is very impressive. All this at reasonable prices ......highly recommended.

loved it -- you order a drink and they bring you fabulous snacks -- tried a number of yucateco specialities, they were delicious! eggplant dip adapted from the lebanese community was a real treat adn totally unexpected!

Fabulous place and you will be surrounded by locals who know a good thing when they see it. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. I had fried shrimp which was excellent -- butterfly-cut and each as big as my fist. The plate also came with rice and a small salad. Prices are super-reasonable. Look for the blue awning in the middle of the block. The restaurant also has air conditioned seating in the space next door to the open-air seating. Service is excellent and quick. This is not a posh place -- it is a chance to rub shoulders with locals and enjoy the areas excellent seafood and fish.

Today it was our first time at Micaela, and we enojes it very much. We tried mainly the daily specials and they were all great. Specialties are based in wood fired cooking, so the taste is really genuine and good. Emphasis here is on seafood, so enjoy!

Largely a seafood restaurant, La Pigua turns out some of the finest food in Merida, along with Apoala. The seafood options are nearly overwhelming, and my wife had a spectacular lobster (in garlic sauce) dish during our second visit. Moreover, the service was utterly professional, indeed reminiscent of some of our finest experiences in upscale restaurants in Italy. From soup to nuts--um flan--truly a fine dining experience in an interesting neighborhood. Bravo!!Thanks a lot for your kindly commentPlease visit us again soon.

We went here for my partnerâs birthday after reading other peopleâs great reviews. We were hugely disappointed, the service was slow and staff generally inattentive, a lot of the menu wasnât available and when the food came is ass distinctly average and undercooked. Iâm not sure whether they were just having a bad night, but I definitely wouldnât chance it again.
