American, Canadian Food with a mix of Southern Caribean seasoning. Fresh Seafood and Natural fruit Smoothies and Malts. Best ocean view, hand made Pastas and Sausages. Smooth and rich cuban coffee and Ice cold Beer Mugs and Margaritas.
The Milk Bar is a great place to eat at on the Malecon in Progreso. Thereâs a good selection of food and drinks. The food is always fresh and well prepared, American style. Good atmosphere and you can sit outside if you like with a view of the Gulf.I recommend this place and I know the owner and I never been disappointed with the food or the service.
New concept for breakfast and lunch with an american style menu. Here, you are sure to find a relaxing and quiet environment, ideal for reading a book, a magazine, or just chatting with friends while you enjoy one of our different varieties of coffee.
We visited Las Garzas restaurant for breakfast in January 2018. We have lived in the area for 4 years and wanted to try out a new restaurant establishment. We were not disappointed.Good first impressions. Upon arriving at Las Garzas (which is a restaurant within a hotel), we noticed a Breakfast and Lunch Menu posted outside (in English). We particularly liked this as we could see what was available, without a commitment of walking in. We did, however, like what we saw and decided to give it a try.The restaurant is located pool-side in a relaxed atmosphere. We chose a table directly beside the pool and I must say that the view made a huge difference in our overall dining experience. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The menus were in English, which made the food selection easy.I enjoyed a spinach, bacon & cheese omelet that was light and fluffy and absolutely delicious. They will customize your omelet for you. I ordered a side of link sausage which is not easily found here and a real treat!. My husband ordered a Breakfast Plate with choice of eff accompanied by hash brown, link sausage (he had a double order) and toast. The portion size was perfect for breakfast. On a side note ... keep the link sausage on the menu ... delicious !!I all, we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We are definitely coming back another day to try out the Lunch Menu.I have given this establishment a 5 star review. It is not a fancy white table cloth place, but, a casual relaxed restaurant, which I appreciate more.

Geezer is what we are!! Heard about this place, basically because of the Wednesday afternoon Jam Sessions - local and ex-pat musicians - all VERY GOOD. Lots of fun, dancing and drinks. We were leaving Progreso just as the "season" was starting (early January) and the last Wednesday session we attended in early January was packed. If you don't reserve you don't get in.We also ate here a few times and enjoyed the food. This is primarily a place where you will find older, gringo tourists and ex-pats. But they are friendly and make the place really enjoyable. The staff speak English but are also tolerant of our poor Spanish. Service was friendly and efficient.

Sliders Restaurant and Bar is best known for our Big Beautiful Burgers and Yucatans Best Onion Rings and of course Sliders! All Burgers are hand pressed from Fresh Daily, never frozen combination of Ground Sirloin and Ground Rib Eye with no fillers or bin
We decided after reading the reviews we would take a walk over on Friday night....Great welcoming staff and owners..It was not that busy with only about a dozen or so people. The courtyard inside is beautiful and adds to the ambience . The menu consist of Hamburgers ..small and large .. And fast food . We choose to split an order of onion rings which you get eight big ones ,they were as good as reviewed. We also split three slider hamburgers ..tasty . The prices are more than reasonable. they have a beautiful pool of which you can use if desired. Also read they had not a liquor license.NOT TRUE... It is well posted and you can order whatever you wish. Enjoy your visits.!!!!!!

Just completing a long term stay in Chelem. Was delighted to find a wonderful new addition to the breakfast and lunch options in Chelem. Itâs interior and exterior and bright and cheerful. The food options are plentiful. Carol (owner) is friendly and cheerful. Fruit was fresh with a mint leaf garnish from their herb garden. Breakfast was divine! Everything was hot and fresh.Thank you, Hope you soon return.

El Bullpen is a wonderful restaurant run by Martin and Jill, who also help the community by hosting various events. They have an extensive menu, which includes fresh seafood but also chicken and beef options. My husband and I have tried most of the menu and although we have favorites we've never had a meal that wasn't delicious. Where the kitchen shines is in their daily specials, most notably their Friday night lobster tail (unfortunately we were so thrilled with our meal I only took a photo after eating most of it!) Our friends who've visited Chelem always ask when are we heading to Bullpen? Drinks and live music on some nights only add to our enjoyment when visiting El Bullpen.
