El Bullpen is a wonderful restaurant run by Martin and Jill, who also help the community by hosting various events. They have an extensive menu, which includes fresh seafood but also chicken and beef options. My husband and I have tried most of the menu and although we have favorites we've never had a meal that wasn't delicious. Where the kitchen shines is in their daily specials, most notably their Friday night lobster tail (unfortunately we were so thrilled with our meal I only took a photo after eating most of it!) Our friends who've visited Chelem always ask when are we heading to Bullpen? Drinks and live music on some nights only add to our enjoyment when visiting El Bullpen.

Ordered flan Napolitano but 15 minutes later is was sold out. Nice appetizers brought to the table, some cucumber mango and nuts. A little windy which is perfect giveb the temperature. Calm atmosphere and friendly staff. Chicken was good.
Located on the promenade of Puerto Progreso with an excellent view of the sea, pleasant atmosphere, clean and exquisite food. Delighting the palate with our specialties. We offer excellent service quality in restaurant area as well as banquets for wedding
We came here with a small group tour and our guide. While you decide what to order, they bring out a variety of free appetizersâbeets, jicama and carrots, and pumpkin seed pate. The guacamole was excellent. We had ceviche from grouperâvery large and delicious! Others had a variety of fish and seafoodâgrilled, baked, stuffed. High quality and extremely reasonably priced (compared to the US). Faces the beach.

A new grille with the trend of the coastal, modern and traditional Yucatan food, not to mention the great cuts to choose.
The staff were very friendly and very helpful with suggestions (both in terms of what to order, as well as other places to eat in the area). The menu is similar to most restaurants in Progreso, and the food was as good as other restaurants in Progreso, but not outstanding.

This remodelled old home off of the Malecon has been beautifully restored. The interior is very modern with subdued colors and beautiful woodwork. Both the kitchen and well stocked bar are new additions. The rear patio is lovely, and quiet with lush plantings of tropical growth, surrounding the pool. (Unfortunately, this evening the pool was an ominous green, not conducive to sitting poolside). We moved indoors for the air conditioning and were seated at a table prepared with lovely linens. Our predinner drink orders were taken promptly. While waiting we were given a nice glass of water infused with ginger and cucumber. The wine list was quite adequate and we chose an Argentinean malbec at a very reasonable price. We ordered two appetizers, one a pork and blue cheese 'bruschetta" type, the other tuetano ( bone marrow) served with a salsa and a flaming rosemary spear. For our mains, three chose steak, one chose fish of the day. Two steaks were picaña, one a New York, reasonably priced. They were served with a very few carmelized onions and fries or baked potato. The potatoes were rather small. The steaks were ordered medium rare, but arrived closer to medium with a slight pink center , but well seasoned. To complete our meal we ordered two lava cakes with a very palate pleasing strawberry ice cream. We will go back again as the overall experience was very good for a restaurant which has not been open long. The staff were excellent in every way.we will be very careful ordering our steaks next time. Please clean the pool, as it is mosquito season!

In a beautiful fully restored 100+ year old house La Antigua opens its doors as the most beautiful restaurant in Puerto Progreso. Unique culinary experience in a very special environment. Our seafood is appreciated worldwide and our speciality is the Maya
Came here with a friend who suggested we try it for breakfast. Beautiful restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Service was a bit slow, but efficient. The food was delicious. We both got the open face sandwich (although I donât remember the word they used for it) with chorizo and it was great. Not sure about lunch or dinner but the breakfast was great. Definitely worth visiting.

This is a cute little restaurant one block off the malecon that is worthy of a visit. The food was hot and delicious. Even just the smells coming while your waiting are mouthwatering. The samosas are fantastic the best I have found in a long time. The butter chicken was fragrant and fantastic. . The owner Jacque is fun and interesting . Breakfast here was also incredible and although I did not get to try the bread I have heard I need to go back as itâs the best around..Colleen, thank you very much for kind comments. We are pleased you enjoyed your experience with us. Hugs,Alberto and Jacque
