The York Harbor Inn’s recently renovated restaurant- “1637”, offers wonderful ocean view dining in a landmark historic inn. Upon entering the dining room, you are welcomed to the past, present and future in both atmosphere and culinary art. Our menu, featured in Food & Wine Magazine, emphasizes native seafood, creatively prepared and artfully presented, as well as casual, contemporary cuisine. Menu highlights include our gourmet Flatbreads made with our own smoked sausage or fresh lobster meat, Lobster Tempura, a Ploughman’s Platter featuring house cured meats and homemade sausage, a Raw Bar menu featuring fresh oysters, shrimp, and clams, Corn and Lobster Chowder and our locally famous Seafood Chowder, as well as the best in steaks and pasta dishes. Our ocean-view piano bar has entertainment many nights of the week and Sunday Brunch is served year round.
Nicely decorated for Christmas, the Inn has a great atmosphere (I should note there is a 'tavern' downstairs that has a low ceiling and shipboard appearance that serves the same menu). Hostess and waitress very cordial and friendly. Very adequate menu with good variety - I had Cajun etuffee - nice and spicy; others had the haddock, seafood pie, and a beef dish - all delicious and well presented. Had mussels for an appetizer - enough to share plus some. Great placer for a special occasion.

The unassuming location was tucked away in a residential area, steps away from the Nubble Lighthouse and Fox's Restaurant. Perhaps it was because of the end-of-season wind-down, we were served giant scoops of ice cream but nevertheless, they were enjoyed thoroughly.

The food was excellent as was the service. Loved the atmosphere and will return often. One of my favorite things is they offer many choices as sides with NO upcharge. Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Homemade Chips, Coleslaw, Demi Salad, Veggies. The demi salads were great to have with our sandwiches. This happens very rarely in a restaurant. Some of us just do not want fries or chips. Most of the dinners on the menu do not go over $20.00. Next time I want to try the clam chowder. AND that will be Friday. Grandaughter is sleeping over and asked if we would take her there for a burger.

We are a specialty sandwich shop featuring Certified Angus Beef®, roast Turkey breast, roast pork loin and smoked ham. All of our tender and delicious roasts are cooked and carved on the premises. Each sandwich is made with the best ingredients we can find, such as Hellmann's® mayonnaise, Maine-grown on-the-vine tomatoes and an artisanal bread. Try any one of our sandwiches, wraps, salads or homemade soups and you'll see why "Our Secret's in the Execution!"
Recommended by a friend, we decided to stop here for lunch. (Note opening days methinks they are closed Tuesday/Wednesday).
A congenial server/host/order receiver took our orders and we were seated promptly. The food arrived an instant later and we were pleased. My wife enjoyed a Turkey special, this writer had the beef Bearnaise plus a side of potato salad. Masterful!
The bread is excellent, the meat and accompanying sauces well blended; two GOOD lunch sandwiches.
The room is small yet comfortable. We'll return gladly.

After visiting some windy beaches, mountains, and lighthouse we were glad to sit inside for a while and enjoy lunch! I had a salad and clam chowder (and it was excellent). My companions enjoyed sandwiches. Be sure to save room to enjoy either the freshly made salt water taffy or the artisan chocolates. We opted for chocolate - one piece each!

Real Italian bakery 35 years in the North End of Boston January to mid February hours Friday 11-7 Saturday and Sunday 10-6 call to see if we have your speciality !
A lovely bakery we came across while visiting York, Maine. The staff took their time to explain the variety of goodies available, despite how busy it was. A breath of fresh air to not feel rushed and a great reminder of days gone by...when a customer is treated with the utmost respect. We got an assortment of cannoli's, eclairs, cookies, brownies...each tastier than the one before! A beautiful, fresh assortment of treats that were a huge hit at a family member's Celebration of Life Party. We will make this a permanent stop on our frequent trips to Maine.

Upscale burgers including Bison, Natural, and Prime. All Natural Chicken. Fresh cut Maine potato fries. Fresh fruit drinks and frappes. Beer and wine.
We shopped at the Kittery outlets and was heading back to Ogunquit. We were hungry. Saw Wild Willy's Burgers and decided to stop and have a bite to eat. Yum. We got burgers and chicken sandwiches - all great. And let's not forget the hand-cut french fries. So good. And the staff always tries so hard to make the customer happy. Thank you.

Quick summary: American-focused menu of small plates, mains, sandwiches, individual pizzas, with some creative flair here and there. Moderate prices for a Maine resort. Friendly, professional service. This is the restaurant at the Stage Neck Inn.
We stopped by a couple of times when visiting family in the area. Whether you dine in the Shearwater dining room area of the adjacent bar, you can get a great meal in a seaside atmosphere.
During out dining, we had a range of the menu, from the panko-crusted haddock to the lobster roll to the mussels. All except for one stumble (noted below, and unusual in all the years we've been going here) was delish -- fresh tasting, expertly prepared. The small plates and sharing plates include hot (crabcake; mussels; pork shank; etc.) and cold (e.g. oysters; ahi tuna with ginger; shrimp) in the $10 - $14 range. Mains are mostly in the mid-$20's to low $30's range, and includes accompanying veges and starch.
A delish lobster is $38, whether you crack it yourself of get the lazy-man's lobster, i.e. the kitchen cracks it for you, which can be a great help for many diners. Surf & turf is the most expensive item on the menu at $40, which includes a delish filet mignon.
You can come here at any time of day as it is the full-service restaurant, i.e. breakfast, lunch, interim, and dinner.
One night we stopped in, and the place was pretty crowded, so we ate at the bar. Same menu; nice ambiance.
Oh, yes - -nice wine list and by-the-glass. Full bar with intriguing cocktails.
Friendly, professional service. There is a gem of a pianist some nights who plays the standards and interpretations of newer stuff. Check his nights, and I don't know if he plays year round.
Okay, the one clunker: the seafood risotto. Priced the same as the lobster dinner, it was a real disappointment - a big puddle of not-great risotto and a few small pieces of assorted seafood. The seafood-risotto proportions were really out of balance, especially for the price of comparable items on the menu. If this was my first time at this restaurant, I might not have returned. But frankly, everyone else's dinner was great, and it was possibly the only time I was every disappointed. So, this is my comment as a footnote, and I notice that the seafood risotto is no longer on the menu.
So: I'll definitely be back, and order what everyone else is having.

This restaurant has a fabulous Happy Hour every day where drinks and apps are very well priced. Everything we tried was delicious. They are famous for their Cottage Burger, which you must see to believe. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had. I wish I could have finished it. Maybe next time. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I don't think you could go wrong here.

There have been a number of different restaurants at this location over the years, some very good, some not so much, but the Stone's Throw is good. We sat in the back patio which, while you lose the ocean view, is much quieter. Food was very good, waitress also. Our foursome had scallops, fish tacos, flatbread and fish sandwich, and very tasty. Gluten free options limited.
