Reviewed By susanrK1295LTPretty disappointed with my brief stay at the Yoakum,Texas Yoyo Motel. Phone didn't work, the television went off a couple of times, i couldn't get the entry door open at one point. When i used my cell phone to contact the front office to come open the door,they didn't answer the phone. Had to call corporate to get front desk. That happened 4 times. And then the morning i was to check out, i was awakened by a commotion outside, looked out the window, a person was taken stuff out of the bed of my truck to beat on the vehicle next to mine. Called and the front desk didn't even know anything was going on. Asking me when, where and what. When i checked in at the front desk, i specifically asked if this place is safe and the person at the front desk assured me it was very safe that there were cameras everywhere. When i was leaving, i asked about that , the person's explanation was , we don't look at the cameras all the time. Several things were taken from my vehicle and destroyed. Fortunately nothing irreplaceable. And fortunately none of the individuals involved in that incident had a gun.

Reviewed By Lynda RI want to thank the staff at this hotel, because they were really friendly, and generous to me and my 9 month old son!!! They knew I was having a hard time at the time, and they helped me generously with water and making sure my son and I had a place over our head, we had a very clean spacious room, and just a great time overall, the price was very decent, It was just nice to know that they have a big hear for people they dont know, and to top all this breakfast was served there AND it was amazing it wasnt just your ordinary cereal and milk it was any kind of eggs you would like, meat, toast and hashbrowns, and your choice of a drink. Thank you I would defiantly come here again when I'm down

Strange Experience
Reviewed By Jo Ann AIt was clean. If that's all you care about in a hotel, this place is for you. The front doors were locked, so checking in occurred through a window. Not a sliding glass window, but one like you have throughout your home. When I went to get ice, I was directed to get ice in the office. I actually found an unlocked door so I could get inside the lobby. After ringing a bell for service, I called out several times to get anyone's attention. When I got no response, I had to go back outside and ring the outside bell so I could get ice through the check-in window. Inside the room, there was coffee but no coffee maker, and a broken ergonomic chair. The bedsheets were flimsy and threadbare. Breakfast in a bag was a bottle of water and 2 sweet items. The lobby's coffee machine dispensed instant coffee. The entire experience was strange. Padlocked doors and an abundance of signs on doors is not very welcoming. Next time we'll drive 15 more miles to Cuero.
