Indigenous Homestay 1 is a H'mong house located in the imposing mountain scenery where four people living. We have decided to open the house to help travellers having opportunity to flee the hustle and bustle of cities. It's time to immerse themselves in nature, forest, music of birds and learn more about the daily life of Hmong people, an ethnic group mostly living in the north of Vietnam.
We highly recommend this homestay experience. The family is so welcoming and kind, and do everything to make sure you enjoy your visit. They offer a variety of tours at very reasonable prices or provide advice for you to explore the area on your own. You learn so much about the Hmong culture over a delicious dinner cooked over the fire, and rice wine ?. My kids enjoyed helping feed the chickens, collect the firewood and generally getting involved. This will remain one of my favourite memories in Vietnam. The area is also beautiful, as you trek or drive through the rice terraces on a scooter. Amazing experience!

The view of the rice terrace is spectacular but we had to sleep on the bad cover because there were no sheets and no blanket cover. The towels were a bit wet. The walls are not soundproof and we could hear every vehicle on the nearby road. Every time someone stepped on the floor the whole building would shake. In breakfast, we had pancakes and honey (unlike the Vietnamese guests who had soup). We paid to the travel agent who booked this homestay for us, 90 dollars for two rooms (for four people) including dinner and breakfast. It wasn't worth the money. If you have better options you should take them.

Le Champ Tu Le Resort Hot Spring & Spa - The attractive destination at Yen Bai Located in a beautiful landscape in the middle of the mountains, Tu Le looks like a new color with the appearance of an attractive destination: Le Champ Tu Le Hot Spring Resort & Spa. Are you waiting for a stop to explore the colors of the Northwest? So it is Tu Le, the color of traditional festivals, the colorful skirts with passionate dances, the local beliefs, typical cuisine, and the secret charm of Thai and H'momg, Dao beauties ... This place will not only be a "stop" for visitors, but will be a complete journey to help visitors enjoy and feel the whole cultural beauty of this high land - the land of diverse colors of the Northwest, and a Le Champ Tu Le always ready to welcome visitors to visit and experience.
We stayed at this place only because it was the only 4* resort/hotel in the area. And boy, were we pleasantly surprised at how decent it was. To start with, the property was sited away from the main roads, and that basically means peace & quiet, no revving engines and constantly hooting that you hear all over Vietnam. Check in was quick and efficient and we were given a room at the top level.....very nice. A word of caution though, walks uphill are extremely steep and suitable only for the very fit. The room itself was very nice, well furnished, bright and airy. It can get a little chilly in the evenings and the room heating may not be quite adequate since the small air-conditioning cum heater unit isn't quite up to the job for such a big space. Also, there isn't sufficient hot water for filling you the bath in your room, something to be aware of, just in case you want to avoid disappointment. Other than that, you get the usual room utilities mainly free coffee, bottles of mineral water, plate of fruits. Be aware though that the receptionist will try and keep your passport or ID documents as she is worried you'd consume any of the room condiments or alcohol, then leave without payment. This is strictly disallowed (ILLEGAL) in accordance with Vietnam's laws, and it took some time to explain that to her. She relented eventually when threatened with a visit to the local Police. Yes, you have to push it that far to make them understand the LAW. Food wise, a great surprise here. The restaurant is grossly under-staffed, so you have to order your dinner well in advance, at least 2 hours ahead, I take it. Someone from the restaurant will come to the room with a menu and take your order, but you can understand. As a result, food was served very promptly at the appointed time, and this is where the real surprise was sprung. The food quality is extremely good. The local speciality, green sticky rice with grilled pork is simply out of this world. A word of caution here, portions are huge so be prepared for leftovers. Overall, it was an extremely pleasant stay and the free use of the spa cum hot springs soak was also a welcomed distraction. The General Manager is Mr Loc and he makes an effort to ensure guests' requirement are met and they are happy at all times. Unfortunately, I have to drop the ratings by 2 full points.......one is that the property isn't completed (not their fault due to COVID), and the other for the receptionist demanding to keep my passport, causing unnecessary stress to the start of what was to be a pleasant getaway.

I found this homestay when searching a place for our group to stay. We came there at the end of August, all of us was surprised with amazing view of Hello Mu Cang Chai Homestay, very nice. The host was very friendly and guided us to visit some places nearby. Very nice dinner with a lot of food. cool view for breakfast with traditional food as sticky rice, noodle and egg. Would love to come back again.

Hoan and his family were wonderful to stay with. I stayed with them the first night of a 6 night motorbike tour. Their home is beautiful, the food was out of this world good, and they were great company. Then, the next morning we got to go on a boat ride around Thác Bà Lake, which was gorgeous. I loved hanging with Hoan and drinking lots and lots of rice wine. I hope to return sometime in the near future.

Three of us are touring Vietnam on motorbikes and this beautiful place was recommended to us by a friend. We were not disappointed. This lovely place sits on the edge of a lake in the rainy season and rice fields in the summer. The family are so welcoming and generous. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Vu Linh you’d be silly to not stay here.
