Established in 1995, Punch Lane is a Melbourne dining icon and a pioneer amongst its laneway counterparts. Punch Lane is a cosy and inclusive Wine Bar and restaurant, which prides itself on serving delicious food from a seasonal menu, mouth-watering che
We booked for an early (5.00pm) dinner before our show around the corner. The place was vibrant, warm and inviting. Great decor with plenty of wine. We spent 2 hours feasting and drinking while enjoying all that Punch Lane has to offer. The food was amazing. Sides are large enough to share. Service was exemplary and totally satisfied customers were everywhere. Not the cheapest venue but well worth the price to get spoilt and have an awesome night out.Hi Alanmcgrathnz,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.Glad to see you enjoyed our food and service. We look forward to seeing you again soon before another show!

Chez Olivier at its new location is really singing! Our experience was great from beginning to end. Service is efficient and timely and very friendly (all the waiting staff had a smile ready). An interesting menu: we had a goats cheese entre wrapped in filo surrounded by a light salad, followed by the confit of duck. Both were delicious and well balanced. The wine list was adequate, although I would have expected to see a few more Burgundy wines on the list. No table cloths but it did have cloth napkins. The restaurant was very popular on the night we were there, and rightly so. A top destination.

Informal yet stylish, Cecconiâs Cantina provides the perfect location for catching up with friends and colleagues. Relax with a coffee, cocktail, champagne or wine and enjoy a casual lunch or dinner either inside, or outside on the private Terrace. The Re
This was a return visit for us and sometimes they fail to live up to expectation- but not Cecconis! There is something a little special about this restaurant. Perhaps itâs the slightly old fashioned feel we love- courteous, friendly service and white table linen. The food is not cheap but is definitely delicious. There is a great wine list- we are not wine connoisseurs but thereâs definitely a good range. The sum of all these parts was a really wonderful night out for myself, my husband and our adult daughter, who was most impressed and says she too will be recommending Cecconis. Highly recommend.

Kazuki's has relocated to Melbourne. Bringing the sensibility of his native Japan to a menu that sings with the best Australian produce, Chef Kazuki strives for balance and simplicity. A slow restaurant on a fast street, Kazukiâs is a place where flavours

Roule Galette is a little piece of France in the city where you will find French staff, speaking the language of Voltaire who will serve you in a warm and intimate setting reminiscent of Montmartre in Paris. Music, whether Breton or French songs of the la
Back in Melbourne for a visit, we definitely had to go eat at the Roule Galette again. Our meals were as fabulous as in the previous year. :-) Perfectly prepared galettes (= the savoury variety made with buckwheat) and crepes (= the sweet ones), friendly and prompt service, pleasant atmosphere. Merci beaucoup!

We enjoyed a very delicious brunch here this morning, from a small but interesting menu. The lunch & dinner menus also looked very interesting and I hope to get back here to explore the food offering further.Service was excellent, from the moment we entered until we left. My coffee was a step above the norm too.Well priced and a fascinating space, well worth the visit.

Our 'local' turned out to e a highlight of our Melbourne stay. From the minute we stepped inside this tiny [27 sq m!] restaurant we felt at home. Our waitress, Carolina, was a gem - ensuring always that we had enough water and wine, and were enjoying our food, without ever being intrusive. Everything is made on the premises and served up with Italian music in the background. Just fabulous and can't be recommended highly enough.

First time dining at this great little restaurant. Last minute booking to try something local. The booking had been overlooked but lucky they did have a table for 2. We chose the Sunday special which was great value. Paella and Sangria for two.The meal was served quite fast, sizzling hot and full of seafood and really tasty. Sangria was served in a jug and quite generous. The restaurant ambiance, the decoration and the staff were all v. good. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu. Not necessarily fine dining but good tasty food in a pleasant and congenial atmosphere.

A small, but outstanding restaurant with some interesting ideas on modern French food. The table service was top-notch and whilst the food wasn't cheap, it represented good value for money. Wine selection was also first class and suggestions made by the waiter regarding which wines to have with our meals were considered and worthwhile. This establish is well worth a visit- go ahead and book it!
