At Doyle's Restaurant & Lounge, you can either start your meal with our tasty appetizers or a bowl of soup. If you are looking for a healthier option, then you can choose from our wide variety of salads.
Went there Saturday night looking for pasta before running the Falmouth Road Race. Great service and terrific menu. Had the chicken scampi and they check if you want everything listed (I left out the scallions). Delicious. Shrimp and scrod was a big hit and my Dad loved his filet. Again he was able to omit the onions. Huge portions but even better was the terrific service. We were given plenty of time to order and to enjoy our meals. HIghly recommend.

Clancyâs was a very pleasant surprise. My first and only time at Clancyâs was over five years ago for brunch, and my wife and I came away very disappointed, saying âNever again.â Well, âneverâ only lasted five years, and this time I was having dinner with our daughter, Stefanie.I called to make a reservation and was told, âDonât take reservations for small parties. Just come in. Youâll be OKâ. Since was a Tuesday in September, I figured it really would be OK, but when I arrived at 6:20 â a little ahead of Stefanie â I found the restaurant full, with only table tops in the bar available. Then I had another small surprise when a party of two left, and I wanted to be seated at the vacated table by a window overlooking Swan River. Thereâs a small sign behind the receptionist that says, âSeating done only when the full party is presentâ. Fortunately, the receptionist did let me be seated by myself, and Stefanie arrived shortly afterwards.Stefanie and I got our drinks, a Bombay Gin & Tonic for her and a glass of Frei Brothers Russian River Chardonnay for me, and we settled in to catch up on things, with no rush to order dinner.Another surprise was the extensive menu that includes Regular Menu, Dinner Specials, and a Three Course Menu that is served only on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Being there on a Tuesday, the Three Course Menu was available, and it has six entrees all costing just $20. This was very tempting, especially looking at the Pork Schnitzel (Pork loin pounded, breaded and fried topped with bacon herb butter ~ with mashed potato and vegetable medley) and Seafood Mac and Cheese (Scallop, salmon and one jumbo shrimp, penne blended with four cheese sauce ~ topped with Ritz cracker crumbs). We both passed on the tempting Three Course Menu and went a laâ carte. For dinner, Stefani ordered a small Caesar Salad (Crisp romaine, garlic butter croutons, Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese) with the Grilled Salmon as a topping, and before I go any further, let me say that it was a very good-sized portion of grilled Salmon filet, thus making this small salad a substantial entrée (for me). There was no leftover on Stefanieâs plate when we finished.I ordered the Grilled Reuben (Fresh corned beef, sauerkraut, Russian dressing and swiss cheese on marble rye), which came with the prerequisite French fries. I always enjoy a good Reuben, and this one was no exception, but like almost every dinner out, I took half of it home, and it is dinner tonight. As I said up front, âClancyâs was a very pleasant surpriseâ and it is definitely going to get another visit in the near future.

The food was fantastic and this is lunch, I wished we had time to come back for diner, I quess that will happen if we are in Cape Cod again. I highly recommend this place.Thank you for your review and for your recommendation. We are glad you enjoyed your Lunch and we will look forward to your return visit for Dinner.Sheila

Very much enjoyed the buffet. The steak tips were perfect. The layout and variety of fare offered was excellent. My only complaint would be with the on-duty bartender. Very little personality or courtesy. I have never really met one like that. While waiting for service, she commented to three other women seated at the bar that it was inconvenient to have to make drinks (jestured toward the banquet room where I was attending the celebration) for those back there. Incredible, the bar was empty except for those three and myself and one other patron who was also attending the celebration! I am at a loss regarding her attitude, are you a bartender? Do you or should you care what room in the facility an order or patron is purchasing a drink? I went to the bar twice, purchased a water and Pepsi each time. Both orders cost $2.00. Both time I left a $1.00 tip...a 50% tip! A two dollar salary for less than a minutes worth of effort!!! The worst service I have ever been provided. I guess if the bar is not packed providing this woman a two-hundred dollar an hour salary she turns off the professional aire. Your bartenders poor attitude and frankly condescending attitude lost you two stars. I surmise this was not an isolated incident. Your food is fantastic, you need a review of your bartenders attitude and courtesy. Not certain I will return or recommend this establishment.

Went here with friends that we hadn't seen for years. Had a great time catching up in a nice environment. Excellent conversation accompanied with excellent food. I'm always skeptical of a restaurant that offers a wide variety of foods and their ability to do it at an excellent level. Fear not for Jason's did a fantastic job with everything we ordered. I had Uncle Tony's platter, consisting of veal and chicken parmigiana a colossal meatball and pasta of choice. It was as good as any I've had in an Italian restaurant. The fish and chips and clams came with onion rings and french fries and were excellent. The steak tips delicious and as good as any steak house offering. Oh and I can't forget about the potato skins and mozzarella sticks. Four stars all around. Try it today!Thank you. Chef Eccles

From the mostly solid reviews, we expected more from this 10-yr old, modern restaurant on the Dennis shore of Bass River, right behind the marina. The menu is limited, and mostly fried, although they do offer grilled salmon and swordfish, and burgers. Pros: the view is nice, since the building is raised, the waitstaff are friendly and efficient, and the seafood was fresh and tasted fine. Limited seating inside, but sizable covered deck, and also seats with tiny drink tables on the lawn below. Cons: prices are higher than comparable local places, and some protein portions are smaller. The only real deal was the field green salads, which were large and fresh, and reasonably priced at $12. Lunch for 2 with no alcohol was $57 pretax.

A family-friendly, full-service restaurant on the banks of Parker's River serving fresh local seafood, choice meats, and vegetarian offerings. Famous for our award-winning, thick and creamy New England clam chowder. Open year-round, seven days a week. Loo
This was the closest restaurant to our hotel, and rated reasonably well. We were a little disappointed as a consequence as not up to our self set expectations. For us, the food was expensive but at least it came with some vegetable! A little overdone, but greenery was very welcome on our road trip so far. We both had the blackened swordfish which in itself was thick and excellent. The setting was canteen style and quite noisy, also a little chilly. The pub next adjoining looked more convivial but eating was in this separate bit.Probably the best local option that said, and seemed popular with locals, but not condusive to us.

We were looking for a simpler place for dinner after eating at more expensive restaurants on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. So an Irish restaurant sounded great. When we got there, we realized there was live music - local people that gathered to play Irish tunes. There were about 20 people playing and I wished I could have joined it. The music was a great addition to the great food. Lots of good choices for all type of eaters.

The Skipper Restaurant & Chowder House is a seasonal restaurant open from mid April to mid October. We serve the finest seafood with the best view since 1936. Winner of the Newport, Boston and Cape Cod chowder festivals.
One of Cape Cod's oldest restaurants, the Skipper was founded in 1936 just off the coast of Nantucket Sound. I suspect that, when initially constructed, unobstructed views of the Sound were available. Currently, Seaside Cottages are between them and the water. However, if you gaze to the Northeast, especially when sitting their second floor deck, yes you can see the ocean. Parking is available in a surface lot across the street. As mentioned above, the restaurant has two floors. The first floor is family dining. The second floor has a bar with inside seating as well as a deck with South facing views. We requested and were provided seating on their outside deck. Even on an off-season week night, the Skipper was busy when we arrived for dinner. We had a 30 minute wait for a table. However, when we were done eating and leaving, we saw that the number of people waiting was near triple what it was when we arrived. This is a testament to their popularity. Our server was very good, friendly, efficient and quick. Their menu definitely focuses on fresh seafood, which is what I love. My other half is a vegetarian but is kind enough to allow me to satisfy my appetite for seafood, especially when it is so fresh. The Skipper's menu has a wonderful array of fresh fish and shellfish. The have a raw bar as well as many appetizer and cooked seafood options. They offer soups and salads, including their Triple Crown Champion Chowder. Of course, they too offer lobster and lobster rolls. If a "land lover" is in your group, they have Chicken Parmesan, Prime Rib and Fried Chicken options. In our case, we had their 10 Knot Nachos (Tortilla chips topped with jalapeño peppers, red onions, black olives, diced ripe tomatoes, scallions and jack cheese. Salsa and sour cream served on the side) and their Fried Oyster platter. The portion size was perfect for both selections. I found the oysters nicely breaded, lightly fried, juicy and flavorful - perfect for my appetite. We liked the food, location and ambiance of the Skipper and would gladly return.

Been passing this place for ten years and finally decided to try it. We were not impressed. The menu had a little of everything on it, and we tried a variety of different things. None of them were very good. The interior is dark and dated, and service was very average. There are too many good places around to go here, sorry.Sorry you were not impressed. We always wish for our customers to have a great experience, and most of them do. If you would like to contact me further about what meals you had, I would be happy to discuss any issues that came up. [email protected] Have a good summer!
