Look. Anyone giving this establishment a 5 star has the bar set low. 4 is generous.
I order pulled pork chopped. With slaw and hickory sauce. I added no extra sauce. It was good not great. I certainly would be scared to do beef brisket because I have done the best in the US. They would have fell fast for that on the score. I can't imagine them featured on Food Network or Travel Channel. Totally out of their league. They simply don't smoke the meat well.
What gave them a 4 instead of a 3 was the hush puppies and corn fritters. Both were excellent. Not too greasy and texture was not hard, which is generally an issue at other establishments.
Service was average. Nothing so outstanding. Atmosphere is quirky. I always frown on personal items of owners as decor.
The place was full at past 1pm. That tells of its success. I would certainly go back. Convenience off 421 helps quite a bit as well.
For Yadkinville, a town with few good eats, it makes sense that this restaurant will continue to do well.

The bologna sandwich is terrible. The cheese steak was wonderful. The hot dogs are almost inedible. The chicken livers were exquisite. I really don't know how to tell you to order. Burgers are just okay. Any sandwich dealing with cold cuts are dismal. Portions are okay. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are okay. Most of the food is under-seasoned. Just ask around and good luck.

This is basically your Greek run American restaurant. Sandwiches, souvlaki, spaghetti, and burgers. Good service, reasonably priced, and decent portions. Cheese steak sandwich was just okay. Souvlaki was way overcooked and under seasoned. Hot dogs are respectable but lacking wow.

I love a local comfort food restaurant when I travel. Battle Branch Cafe was recommended by the Inn Keepers where I stayed. It is easy to find and some of the best food I have had in a while. I had a vegetable plate and all was well cooked and very flavorful. Asked for dessert of Cherry Cobbler and had to share as I couldn't eat it all. The cobbler was mouth watering. I will definitely be returning!

Excellant little café for breakfast and lunch. Café also has Wifi which was great. Third branch is onside the Yadkinville Cultural Arts building. We had taken our granddaughter there every day for a week and met some very nice people on the café, spouse the café staff. They serve breakfast and lunch and all the things we tried during that week were all delishious .

Small very quaint and popular restaurant for the area which doesn't have much. Food was good and the service was better, loved the waitress and she was very attentive. I got a child meal knowing the portions were large.

I LOVE their chicken soup! Has such a good flavor and lots of chicken. Also their salsa is some of the best I've ever eaten. In fact I've never had a single dish there that wasn't very good! The service is exceptional too! Family owned and run and it's obvious on every visit.

Most recent visit, I arrived after the rush. Seated quickly and had very friendly and efficient service. Hush puppies excellent as always. Broiled seafood platter was as good as it gets in this area and this price. Nice varied menu, nothing "special" but tasty food at fair prices.

Pulled up here at first and were confused. It looked like a gas station. It is, but the restaurant is inside. Simple, delicious comfort food on the menu. Had the fried shrimp special and was full to bursting. Such a great meal, and lots of food for a low price. A super place to start your visit to the wineries in Yadkinville.

This is a gas station, yes, but the food here is better than any in the area for sandwiches, subs, chicken. They have fresh ingredients for their sandwiches and I have not ate anything here that is bad. I eat here frequently and all the food is good from subs, wraps, pizza, hot dogs and chicken tenders. I highly recommend eating here if passing through Yadkinville.
