Great location near the entrance to both the pools and the Gardens, tucked away in a cave like setting. Pretty, quaint. Service was good and there was a decent selection on the menu. The tortilla soup was amazing! Entrees were split for our family: lasagna was ok/good, tostadas were tasty but the veggie crepe was terrible (loaded with garlic and onion). Still easier than going into town, and worth a second shot as it could have just been a whoops.

The Querreque restaurant is located at Xilitla downtown, Querreque is a concept of contemporary Mexican cuisine fused with Huasteca cuisine, we have a wide variety of dishes, all our food is fresh and prepared At the moment like all good cuisine, we have different areas within the restaurant for all tastes. Be welcome to Querreque and know the beautiful nature that surrounds the Huasteca.
Enjoyed the food and the company of the staff. One person in particular was very helpful helping get a room in the Castle. Finally could not contact anyone there so I stayed in a small hotel San Ignacio. It was a Sunday afternoon so dancing and music in the square. Good memory

This restaurant is across from Edward James' castle/hotel in Xilitla. It is done in a similarly eclectic style to that of the hotel, with spiral staircases and a lovely Terrace that look across the valley to the hills of the Silleta. The menu is primarily Italian and the food is both plentiful and tasty. Pasta is clearly their specialty and, in our group, everyone enjoyed the sauces/preparation they chose. If there is any downside, it is that their wine list is very limited, which is a bit surprising for an Italian restaurant. Service was friendly and a good time was had by all.

The dinner at Mi Haustequita was delicious! Enchiladas con cecina, enchiladas with thinly sliced marinated beef, with well-prepared beans and salad. Our host and his family were very friendly, the atmosphere was casual and warm. After spending the past four months in this part of Mexico, I can say this was a delicious, lovingly prepared meal. We will return for breakfast tomorrow morning, with chiliquiles promised! The chef speaks beautiful english, tambien.

Typical Huasteca restuarant, went here for breakfast, and had Rancho Huevos and the typical Husateca breakfast of enchiladas. Place was very clean, and all ingredients looked fresh. Nice staff cooking and serving. We had the added bonus of a guitar singer who came by and sand for us; breakfast with music. Recommended for a local experience.

This place was recommended by the owner of the cabins we stayed in (Cabanas La Heurta, very near Las Pozas, very charming if missing some essentials) and it was very good. Wide menu, everything well done. My partner's chicken with cheese and almonds was delicious; my pollo caldo was perfect for a bland kind of soup with a large piece of chicken with rice, and veggies. All reasonably priced.

Service and food is average, small potions with above average price, beautiful view if you sit at the patio. If you’re really hungry be patient since they actual state on their menu that everything is made to order and usually takes 30-45 min for your food to arrive at the table.
And to be fare this place is much better than most. Had queso fundido and lasagna. Average.
