Red Rock Café is full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Okay we have been on the road for 6 weeks now and stopped in for lunch . Sara our server was fantastic, and I am positive we had our bet meal out to date. I had the jalepino burger (w/o bacon), it was fantastic and my husband had the grilled caesar wrap and he also loved it. We also ordered the Cajun Salmon Salad to go and we split it for our dinner and it was great. To bad we found this place on the last day of our stay. Highly recommend this place. Also if we were not already full we would have gotten some pie, most all of there pies are made in house and looked delicious.

Sit down or take out lunch 11 am 2pm dinner 5 pm 9pm Thursday thru Sunday Lunch and dinner available in the BAR DAILY.
We should have known when we walked in the front door that this wasn't the place to eat--although the three open tables needed bussing, staff were standing around talking. Even with no greeting or help from the employees, we found a larger, almost empty dining room to the side. It was clean. Our server was appropriately professional and attentive. My husband's steak had no flavor. My fettuccine alfredo was an unappetizing glump of white in a white bowl. I was so hungry, I ate what I could, but it didn't taste any better than it looked. Before my husband said anything about his steak, a man who was seated not far from us loudly told his wife, "But it doesn't have any flavor. A steak should have flavor." That's right. And fettuccine should be al dente, not mushy.(I normally do not give a bad review unless the restaurant is subpar on both the first and second visits. This time there will be no second visit.)Being the Chef owner I take full responsibility for your meal.I am truly sorry that we came up short on our, and more importantly, your expectations. We pride ourselves on quality food and service and obviously didn't achieve either goal. If ever in town in the future visit one of the several other dining establishments and hopefully you will come away with a more positive result.I would have welcomed the opportunity to accommodate you at the time of service to avoid such a negative outcome.

We basically stopped for a bathroom break. Only 1 restroom because the restaurant was closed for the season. Lots of chinese gifts. Cute dachshund. Friendly people. Best place for a picture of tower and sign. Nice penny smasher. Post office across street. Homemade fudge.

My friends were happy with their Fish and chips. My grilled chicken, lettuce tomato sandwich was not bad. It tasted good although the chicken breastâs outer layer was chewy as it was likely pre-grilled and heated in the microwave before serving.Their French fries were frozen and very dry.The Strawberry Rhubarb ice cream in waffle cone was delicious. One scoop is a huge portion for $5.

The Gulch is a family-friendly, family-run business that truly embodies the spirit of the West. Down home cooking coupled with the finest hospitality in the Black Hills make this incredible âlittle log cabinâ feel like home... no matter who you are!
Background: After arriving by car from Rapid City, SD to spend a night by Devil's Tower, for a next day early morning walk, we needed a place to eat. A Quiet Canyon B&B recommended The Gulch just down the street, and one of the few restaurants nearby.Verdict: The Gulch is authentic, convenient and offer large portions. We ate the salmon (with baked potato) and steak salad outdoors, with a local beer. Don't forget to try some of their bacon infused marmalade on your bread. The portions were so big, we needed a take out container so we could consume the left overs later. If you have room, don't forget to try one of their home made pies; we snagged the last piece of stawberry rhubarb pie. Yum. The only weird thing was that they served canned green beans; everything else was fresh. Maybe they ran out. There aren't any grocery stores nearby so maybe they have to stock what we can. We'd definitely eat here again if we return to Devil's Tower!

We were so thankful to find a place that was open and serving food as we arrived into town. Delightful couple running the place. Cute gift shop. Lovely home like atmosphere with two wood burning stoves. Would definitely recommend!!
