Where to eat Asian food in Rock Springs: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Restaurant serves very fine Chinese, Thai & Japanese cuisine.
Two stops gave us a chance to sample three items from the Thai section of the lunch menu. On the first visit, we both ordered panang curry with chicken, a favorite of ours in a local Thai restaurant. The Siam King version was even better, with a more varied and deeper set of flavors, though less variety of vegetables. On the second visit one of us had green curry, the other yellow curry, both with chicken. Very enjoyable flavors, but again with minimal variety of vegetablesâgreen ones in the green curry, more colorful ones in the yellow curry. All come with a choice of soup, with our choice being sweet and sour. Again very enjoyable flavor but with no tofu and fewer vegetables than we are accustomed to. The main course comes with rice, an egg roll, and the best (and prettiest) crab Rangoon we have had. Serving size of rice and menu choice was large in each case, possibly enough for two meals for some people and a real bargain at $7.99 each. We were there well after the time for the main lunch business, so there was no problem with being seated quickly and getting our food in good time. Pleasant conversations with attentive staff members. Clean rest rooms. We would advise choosing a place where the lighting is strongest, because subdued lighting made reading the menu somewhat challenging even in the brighter areas. We certainly recommend the Thai curry lunch offerings highly and plan to stop again on future trips. MAP WARNING: The map we saw on line was flipped north/south (north at the bottom and south at the top). I have since seen a correct map. The restaurant is SOUTH of the Interstate. McDonald's is farther along the same street and may be a good landmark.

I was happy to find that this restaurant (and the one in Casper), is a family owned and operated business from China. Not only are they Chinese, they hold their pride for their country and their family in their restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you can see a nice clean atmosphere with the inviting presence; starting with their family photo collage right up front and a tribute to their country in all of the decor. Since it is the year of the dog, the restaurant was decked out for the new year with various canine decor. They also had several stuffed animal Chinese dogs for purchase, sectioned around their large eye-grabbing fish tank. As for the food, I advise dining in because our take out cooled very quickly and was not as appetizing when reheated in the microwave. I loved the wide variety of menu items and was welcomed to discuss some choices with the friendly lady at the front counter (who spoke fluent English). All the staff is friendly and eager to help you. I suggest trying something new with each visit so you can experience the dishes first hand.
Top 5 Steakhouse food in Rock Springs, Wyoming, United States

My husband and I got into town and checked into the hotel, tired and hungry. The front desk clerk gave us a take out menu from Chop Stix. After taking a close look, I saw that several items had won local awards, like a New York sushi roll and a Kung Pao. We ordered at 6pm and our order, dumplings, fried rice, a single dinner and the sushi arrived in 20 minutes, hot and yummy. I asked them not to add salt when cooking and it was perfect. Highly recommend for fast, inexpensive and tasty food.

This place offers classic, non-gentrification type eats. Breakfast was superb, served fast and in generous helpings. Small, with a counter and about eight tables, we were welcomed and seated promptly. The biscuits and gravy were fine, and the breakfast burrito was awesome. Expect an âold schoolâ experience.
