Zapata's is an upbeat New Mexican style restaurant centered downtown, in the heart of beautiful Cody, WY. Located just a short distance outside of Yellowstone National park, we enjoy serving people from all over the world and welcome parties of any size.
The waiter was overwhelmed by something, he was not very helpful. He did not ever come back to the table after our food was delivered. We had to actually go find out someone to bring us our check so we could leave after waiting a very long time.yes my server was a bit overwhelmed he had just found out that his wife had to take their baby to the emergency room. That did put our wait staff in a crunch for a few minutes. So sorry you had to wait to get your ticket. To bad you could not mention how good the food was or find anything at all to say that was positive. This young man is a great server and has worked for me for many years. And just so ya know if you care at all the baby will be fine.Connie

Truly family owned and authentic, everything is prepared fresh in the restaurant. I've never had a bad meal and the portions are more than enough for a big eater like me. This place is the real deal, and well worth the stop. My favorite specialty restaurant of any kind in Cody.Thank you very much. We will see you Monday for our Big Burrito special. â¤ï¸

This is one of those unassuming "hole in the wall" type of restaurants that we were fortunate to find. We were ready for something other than chain restaurant food and El Vaquero delivered! The food was great (tasting and large portions), good service, and the price was right. It was our favorite meal during our vacation.
Where to eat Healthy food in Cody: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Ended up at this restaurant when the restaurant we had planned to eat at didn't open when they were advertised to open, and I'm sure glad we found this place. Prices were reasonable, portions were big and the home made salsa was very good. I ordered the burrito, with red sauce. Served with: Beans, Rice, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Cilantro, Sour Cream, Cheese, and ground beef. It filled the plate and had a plenty of ingredients. My wife ordered the chicken Fajita Quesadillas, Served with: Onions, Bell Peppers, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Cilantro. Very good restaurant located upstairs at the Wyoming Buffalo Company downtown.
