OK... for what it is
Reviewed By Paul RThere are some good points to the Koshine - the reception and restaurant staff are fairly efficient/friendly (despite having almost zero English between them), it wasn't particularly noisy, in our room the TV offered a large selection of channels, the shower was wonderfully powerful, and the beds were OK. I never expect luxury when staying in a mid-range or budget property, especially in a smaller Chinese town/city, but I do expect the room to be acceptably clean and the room temperature to be within my control. However the bedroom carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned for months, resulting in significant build up of human hair. It looks like the cleaning staff usually brush the carpet to give the impression of it being cleaned - yet what it needs is a really good vacuum (maybe the hotel doesn't have one?) We kept our shoes on, as there were no slippers provided. The other room issue, as others have alluded to is the air-conditioning - some heat coming through to warm the room up, but not enough to allow for a comfortable night's sleep. The hotel breakfast was merely passable - a cold, gloomy room (they didn't even bother to turn on the lights for guests), watery coffee, and mostly lukewarm Chinese breakfast dishes, including fried rice, fried eggs, corn and reheated vegetables. I wasn't anticipating any western options - one or two cakes/pastries aside, there weren't any There are not too many hotel options in Wuyi city - the Koshine represents reasonable value therefore. If expectations are managed, it is an OK choice

Tired, dirty and in need of renovation
Reviewed By TomJackUKHaving just returned from Qing Shui Wan, I feel a little disappointed. - hotel is very big, and as such seems to be suffering as a result. Hallways are dark and dirty, wallpaper is peeling off the walls and the general condition of public and private areas is poor. Rather than investing in size, money should have been invested in quality and upkeep. - the hot springs were not as impressive as the photos lead you to believe. Lots of the pools are closed and some are just plain dirty. There are much better hot springs within driving distance of Shanghai. - on a plus note, I found the staff to be very attentive and helpful. No idea how it compares to the other similar facilities in Wuyi, but I would try a different on if I visit again.

Very Clean
Reviewed By tempshMy husband and I stayed one night at this resort as part of a small group (with guide). The rooms are very clean and the beds (in our room) were quite soft and pretty comfortable (by Chinese standards). We had a 'Japanese Style' room and I believe that our beds (basically a mattress on the floor) were softer than the standard beds in other rooms. The room overlooked the hot springs. The rooms were spotless and, I believe, may have been recently renovated. There are 3 floors and no lifts and it is quite a walk to the restaurant and foyer! I had been led to believe that the food would not be good at all. In fact, it was not too bad - Chinese, but fried eggs, toast, and cakes were available for breakfast in addidion to the Chinese buffet. We enjoyed the hot springs - towels, robes and sandals are supplied. Whilst there we visited the villages of Guo Dong and Qing Feng Zhai. Wuyi makes a nice weekend break from Shanghai. TIP Visit the Hot Springs first thing in the morning to beat the rush - from 9.15am to about 10.30am - you can experience it all - from a milk bath, to various massage showers and spa pools. In addition - don't miss the 'fish nibbling' pool - the fish nibble all the dead skin off you feet - tickles like mad!!

Good for a small town, but then again not really good
Reviewed By yogimoHotel looks quite good, but has many annoying problem. You cannot open the windows, the AC is not working properly and it is dirty. The bed is very hard and the TV has no English channels, except for CCTV 9 (which I do not consider proper TV) Bathroom has a bathtub, water quantity is quite OK. Electric plugs are about 1.5 m away from the bed. My room had a computer, which I did not use, I also did not check the speed of the internet. I assume that it is free, but I am not sure. Breakfast was lousy. Plenty of Chinese dishes, but otherwise only toast. The toaster oven only toasted from one side, hence you had to turn around the toast. The annoying thing was really the dirty carpet. Black spots everywhere and when you walk barefoot, (which you definitely do not want to!!) you felt some sand, stones, whatever below your feet. I guess they must have vacuumed the last time when the hotel was opened. (or never)

Reviewed By XUJIANKE酒店刚开业，投资人应该是有情怀的人。为了这个情怀，我多给了一颗星。 酒店是一个文旅项目配套，本身就在古建筑博物馆的建筑群里，客房本身就是古宅。而这些古宅，都是业主从散落各地搜罗搬迁而来，多是徽派建筑。 客房都自带温泉私池，有露天的，也有室内的，给好评。 早餐，是中式的定餐，花了心思，给好评。 房间备品是一个意大利还是法国的牌子，香味不错，但是酒店太小气了，住2晚，不主动补充，打电话过去要，居然也不给。接近2000一晚的价格，这真说不过去。 上图。
