Located in historic Bearsville along the scenic Sawkill Creek, The Bear Cafe invites its guests to become part of its family. Originally created by music impresario Albert Grossman, The Bear Cafe combines the rustic atmosphere of the Catskill region with the Woodstock/Bearsville music experience. Here, our guest are invited into a casual fine dining experience with a commitment to fresh and local ingredients. Live music plays in the long each night.
The salmon was fine. The burger had big chunks of chewy fat throughout which was uncomfortable to eat. The chef determines how much salt & pepper a customer should have - every person has a different palate, I want to have access to salt & pepper on my table and not to have to wait for someone to get me salt and pepper while my meal gets cold. The service was o.k., made some mistakes. Food is pricey. There are other places to dine for the same price or less that are much better. The outside deck corners were covered in clumps of cobwebs next to our seat (only takes 2 seconds with a broom) and the outside of the complex buildings seemed really dirty, they need a hose down, is there a property manager to oversee such things?. Overall, there are better choices- we miss the old Bear Cafe'....

We enjoyed two meals over a weekend visit to Woodstock and highly recommend this quick casual dining for breakfast and lunch.
They serve excellent coffee from Press pots kept hot because they are so busy. Their bagels are high quality New York City style. It’s great they open at 7 am on Sunday for us early risers.
They serve Great panini sandwiches, offer Light chicken salads and soups. You will want to bring a loaf of their fresh baked bread Home!

Not to be missed! These yummy cupcakes are so beautiful that I love to give them as gifts! It's a tiny shop in a tiny town, so you may want to arrive early for the most extensive selection.

Provisions is a restaurant & pub specializing in comfort food. All of our butchery is done in-house. We utilize primarily whole animals that are sourced locally, antibiotic & hormone free. We offer a daily variety of vegetarian sandwiches as well. We make our own bread, our own mozzarella cheese & do all of our own pickling, sauces, salads, and desserts. Catering available.
Went for dinner with my family during the week and there was quite a bit of people there. Ordered the fried cauliflower and some little eggrolls for starters which we shared and they were delicious. Then we had the burger with a "secret" sauce in ciabatta bread. Well, did not really get high on a burger on ciabatta. That type of bread is too hard for that purpose even though the taste of the burger was good. The staff is very friendly but a bit rough around the edges; not high quality professionals. Having said that, service was adequate, just too high-schoolish for my taste......I ask; must a server ask if you want a glass with your bottle of beer? Shouldn't the glass be cold?
I expect better but would probably give it another chance.

Organic vegan and Cafe & Juice Bar.
Excellent food. So much better than the trendy, all hype restaurants like ABCV, Dirt Candy and Modern Love. Wonderful service, knowledgeable staff and fantastic owner. Everything is delicious.Wow, your review means so much to the Garden family, our intentions are filled with love in everything we prepare, and how we present and serve. Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review.

I'd heard great things about The Red Onion. I enjoyed the veggie curry with shrimp. The thai beef salad appetizer was nice. Our server was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is in an old farmhouse that was quite cold. I had to wear my winter jacket throughout the meal. Personally, I much prefer the vibe and atmosphere of The Bear Cafe.

This is a great little shop to stock up on green juices they sell in plastic bottles. They have a menu of fresh juices & smoothies and healthier frozen yogurt, packaged snacks like Kale chips. Also cold brewed coffee, chia pudding and, in fall, fresh apple cider. There are a couple of stools inside and seating outside. Not a great atmosphere and a bit on the expensive side.

Oriole 9 is a busy and exciting breakfast, brunch and lunch spot right across from The Green in the heart of Woodstock. We serve the best coffees, cappuccinos and lattes in town. Our lively and creative dishes are locally sourced when possible, always made from scratch and prepared to order. Whether you're in town for a visit with family and friends or dropping in solo with a good book or your laptop to catch up on work; Oriole 9 is the right place to be.
This is another nice place in Woodstock. The food was super fresh and each cup of the coffee was brewed individually- nice. The dishes are not cheap but I was very happy with my food. The toast and jam were soooo good. I liked that I was served a little side salad with my omelette. Lunch menu was pretty interesting as well. Server was a little too laid back but that seems to be the overall vibe in town; didn't take away from the food.

Joshua's is the longest serving restaurant in Woodstock, feeding and delighting patrons with high-quality, healthy, delicious food for 44 years! We strive to use the freshest, locally sourced ingredients we can find. We look forward to being of service.
Was there last night with friends for dinner. Good martinis, and some good soda choices. The shish kebab was very good. Different taste than I expected but good. The Bedouin was excellent and huge. Flat cakes are always good. Salmon over pasta was also a hit. Nice people warm setting.

On entering Cuccina one is immediately transported to Northern Italy. The décor and furniture has that spare look that can be found in restaurants in cities such as Milan.
The food is, naturally, Northern Italian with a little "nouvelle" twist. Everything on the menu is fresh and tantalizing. The wine list offets a good selection of wines by the glass or bottle. The service is excellent and discrete.
I give Cucci na my top reccomendation.
