The slogan of 'If you enjoy your meal tell your friends, if you don't tell us' ensures the quality service, fantastic food and great value for money can be found at the Pink Turban every day of the week. Diners can relax in the traditional surroundings of the dining room, which can seat up to 120 people, and enjoy a drink from the well-stocked and modern bar.

Just lovely well-cooked good value modern Scottish food in an unexpected setting
Had a great lunch here with my mum. The pate was delicious as always and the braised rump was so tender. Portion sizes were great and fantastic value at £7.95 for two courses. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

A long-standing restaurant, the Indian Villa dishes up the best curry for miles around. All your standard favourite dishes and a few more besides. Strongly recommend the Goanese fish with prawns, lamb bhoona, chicken tikka and peshwari naan. Indian and Scottish lagers are available on draught and the usual wines and other options. Portions are generous and you’ll be highly satisfied by the quality and quantity of the food - the tender lamb is a personal favourite. Excellent value set menus including 2 drinks available around the £20 too which makes an excellent affordable midweek meal out.

Had the early evening menu here with friends and was not disappointed. Welcome was warm, food was lovely, service, as always, was great. We all enjoyed the various dishes served to our table and the value for money is great. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Lanarkshire, but, it's quite small, so booking is a must. Only suggestion would be for them to open a bit earlier, 5.30pm is a little late if travelling into town for a show, so we end up in town to eat more often than not, which is a shame. Will still go here as often as possible though. Well worth a visit if you haven't been.

Visited this restaurant following refurb. It has been smartened up but we were placed at a table where work still fad to be completed. Asked for water with our meal and we were given pint measure glasses filled with water. Would have been nicer to have been given a jug or carafe of water and some nice glasses. My husband and his friend asked for a pint of lager each and when it came it was not chilled. The plates when placed on the table were cold. The bill was hand written and not legible so not sure what we were being charged for. My son handed over his bank card to owner who took it off him. Mistake on my son's part . He should have asked that card reader be brought to table so that he could clearly see transaction being done. Shortly after his card being taken from him a waitress came back to table with card and informed us card reader had not been activated!!! Why did owner of the business take his card in first place knowing this. We then had to try and find cash. Not professional business . A business like this should take cash or card transactions and should be printing off itemised till receipts to give to customer's . The decor was nice but too much like a cafe. No privacy , too open . Food was fine just felt it lacked finesse and dodgy payment system in place. Most reputable companies issue itemised till receipts and use payment card machines . Be careful !!

the Cherry tree is now under new management. We opened in December 2016 following a massive refurbishment. We serve meals 7 days a week and have live entertainment on every Saturday night
Five of us were fortunate enough to book the Cherry Tree for their Christmas lunch menu, between us we had the steak, salmon , Turkey and the festive burger. Each dish was delicious and all plates were cleared, portions were generous and had a good combination of fresh vegetables . The desserts and starters were equally as good. A special mention to staff who were excellent, attentive and friendly. My friends also commented on the friendly atmosphere. I am looking forward to a rerun visit.

Friendly, efficient staff and good basic food very reasonably priced. Situated on a Main Street, convenient for busses, this is the place to go for a bite to eat while you wait for a bus or just for a coffee and chat with friends.
