Had a really enjoyable pizza lunch today at Monicalâs. Being from Chicago, are go to place is Lou Malanties where we order their thin crust pizza, with onions, peppers, mushrooms and half with sausage. We had the same today, and it was some really damn computable. Love the thin crust I remember the days, in this area, when pizza, was Tombstone, thrown into a toaster oven, by a bartender, what a terrific improvement

Food was great and the craft beer selection was incredible, some I'd never heard of and tons of them were local!

We discovered the Bear's Den by attending open mike on a Sunday evening night a few year's back and have returned every year since. Craig and his wife are very hospitable and serve a good meal. The Bear's Den also has very friendly bartenders. The fish fry is great and my sons enjoy the Kewanau Widowmaker and of course the Spotted Cow on tap. It is a friendly place and we have felt very welcome each year!! Kinda like Cheers up North;) Come Sunday night for open mike night!

Northern Wisconsin's oldest pizzeria.
I have been coming to Spang's for years. The food here is fabulous. That is what keeps people coming back. I was told this restaurant is family owned and run. The waiters and waitresses are great. It's the hostess's that are rude and abrupt.

We came in on a Monday night and were happy to see the special was deep dish pizza. We had heard about this place from locals who raved about how buttery and crispy the deep dish was. I am not a deep dish pizza fan, but this one knocked it out of the park!!! Our group of 8 also had a regular pizza which was also good. For a Monday night they were busy! Sign of good food!

The thing thatâs great about this area is that itâs hard to find a bad meal. Food here is not so gastronomically imaginative, but decent and decently price. As we had pizza the night before, we opted for the dinners (although the passing pies looked and smelled delicious). My cod was very flavorful and served surrounded by a wreath of curly parsley-something I hadnât seen in ages. My friend had the ribs. He gave them a solid thumbs up, and from the little heâd let me have, they were tender and thickly sauced. Meals also included a salad bar, which was mostly an array of classic prepared ones - cukes in sweetened vinegar, bean salads, etc - all very homestyle and tasty.Hereâs the rub, though - I fished a big piece of hard plastic out of one of the salads, about an inch long. In addition, my friend found a hair in the ribs. It kind of put a damper on what was otherwise a good meal in a cute (if a little remote) location.

Looking for a great pizza, go to this place. Small so call ahead. Worth the wait. It is closed on Tuesdays. I always forget that so kind of a pain as it is out of the way. Used to have an area open to animals where they fed them scraps, but the DNR closed that a few years ago.

My husband ordered the cheeseburger and I ordered the fish sandwich. My fish sandwich was amazing. It came with coleslaw and fries or cucumber salad. I ordered the salad, but it came with fries, which they immediately rectified. I would rate this 4.5, but don't know how to. I would go back again if in the area.
