I like to stop at Taco Bell for a low cost taco or burrito when traveling or out shopping. The price is a good value for the amount of food received. This restaurant staff was friendly, efficient & speedy in taking & preparing my order.

At La Cabana, we wanted to bring together two of our favorite things: traditional Mexican cuisine and American-style breakfast. Whether you order an alambre or a steak fajita, you know youâll get fresh ingredients and bold flavors. As a family-owned resta
We stopped in at 12:50 on a Wednesday. The place was not crowded. We were seated immediately. Our drink order was taken 5 minutes later and delivered with hot tortilla chips. Waiter stated he would come back with salsa and take our order. 10 minutes later he brought 2 salsa cups. One was runny and obviously from a can (V8 comes to mind). The second looked like fresh made pico, but with lots of jalepeno peppers. It was too hot for me, but my husband liked it.At no time during our 30 minute wait did our waiter ask if he could refresh our drinks (coffee and ice tea). Finally after our order was delivered he asked if I wanted more coffee. I said yes, so we thought the ice tea was not refillable. That is until we were ready to leave and he asked table next to us if they wanted refill on their ice teas .After another 15 minutes (30 minutes after we sat down), our order arrived, and so did the order for people in booth behind us who came in 15 minutes after we had ordered. Both our meals were barely luke warm and tasteless. The burritos were only ground beef, 2 pieces of tomatoes and less than a teaspoon of cheese. No onions, beans, no rice, no salsa or pico. My husband did find 2 peas, a lima bean and a few green beans in his burrito. The meal came with refried beans and rice on the side. However these were both barely warm and tasteless without any seasoning whatsoever. This is not a place we will return to, as there are better options minutes away at better Mexican restaurants like El Pig Butt in Kewaskum. Even Taco Bell would be more flavorfull than this place.

Our high school class group used this restaurant/bar yesterday for our meeting. We found it to be very reasonably priced. A buffet was provided with a choice of hamburger or chicken with a nice selection of chips, salad & toppings for the sandwiches ie: lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, pickles, mayo. Brownies were included for dessert. Price of $6.50 plus choice of beverage at the bar at additional charge if wanted. Golfers coming in off the course also took advantage of the buffet. Lots of seating areas for the groups to visit & mingle are available.
I had three different Tacos.Pork, Beef and Chicken.Tacos were delicious, very nicely loaded with the meat as well as all the trimmings. The dip and chips were very delicious too.Guacamole tasted very good.It is a place of convenience as well as delicious food.
There's a Mexican grocery store here, where you can buy all kinds of Mexican cooking ingredients from hot chocolate "tablets" to horchata mix to sofrito base to Jarritos soft drinks. You can also buy lots of fresh produce (a little expensive, it always seems to me).If you walk through to the back of the store, there's a little kitchen and half a dozen stools at a counter. A couple of years ago, La Mexicana installed half a dozen booths for sit-down dining. There's a chalk board on the left side of the wall, which lists all the meats that are available (and there usually at least eight!): bistec, chicken, tongue, cheek, arrachera (which is kind of a grilled or roast beef), tripe, etc. Then you choose the "vehicle" you want: tacos, torta (sandwich on a hoagie roll), huaraches (like a tostada, but soft rather than cruchy), burritos, fajitas, etc.You place your order, and then the staff goes back and checks their inventory to make sure they have all the ingredients to cook what you ordered. In this case, they couldn't make fajitas because they didn't have the little potatoes?? that day. Then you wait, while the cook chops everything fresh -- tomatoes, onions, cilantro -- and grills the meat, again very fresh. On my most recent visit, I waited and waited. And waited. I'm not complaining! That's an indication that everything is made to order.Prices are not necessarily cheap; I think my burrito was $8. But portions are very generous, and they throw in lots of condiments. With my burrito, for example, they put in little containers of red chile sauce, green chile sauce, and sour cream. When I got home, my burrito formed the base for two meals, and it was very delicious! While I waited, I was able to watch a soccer game from Queretaro, on TV. I also watched the store manager eating chips and salsa. Another couple, also Anglo, came in and placed an order to eat in the diner. They were offered chips and salsa while they waited for their food to be prepared. I drooled, but that didn't seem to get me any attention, nor any chips. Maybe you have to sit down to get chips; I just stood, the whole 20 minutes or so that I waited. Next time I'll try sitting down, and see what happens! The store manager who takes your order is fully bilingual. He often communicates to the cook and to other staff in Spanish. If I try to speak Spanish in the store or cafe, people will answer my greeting, question, or statement in Spanish, but then immediately switch to English.Any time I'm in West Bend I always try to stop in here and get a dish or two to go. Everything has been very tasty! I don't think I've sampled the whole menu yet, so I'll have to keep going back.

We live in New Berlin and that's about a half hour drive to West Bend. Last Saturday we decided to take a trip up to visit a West Bend bakery that we love. The bakery will be another review I'll do soon. We were then going to take a ride out to Mayville (another 30 or so minutes from West Bend) and go to Don Ramon's that's located there as we like the food so much, and it was a beautiful day. I put Don Ramon into my navigation system and it said four minutes away. Low and behold a second location has been established, so we decided to check it out. We turned left on Hwy 33 from Hankerson's went under the freeway turned right on Wildwood and there it was. It's set back from Hwy 33 right across from the Pick and Save. This place was originally a Dairy Queen then a restaurant called Mothers Day (information provided by our waitress). I think the reason for the businesses turning over is the fact it's off the beaten path. However, I'm pretty sure Don Ramon's will make a go of it. There were quite a few people having lunch that day which is a good sign. A young man brought us a basket of hot tortillas chips and a carafe of salsa with some little serving bowls right after we were seated. They also have the bright green and bright red bottles of El Yucateco Habanero hot sauce on the table. I swirled some of the green hot sauce into the salsa as I like it very hot. When our waitress came to the table she said we have some home made hot sauce I'll get you some. It was fabulous and plenty hot. Our bottomless sodas were giant size and very good. I hate it when I get a flat soda but these had plenty of fizz. My wife had the chicken fajitas and said they were excellent. I had a dish that's intended for two people the Don Ramon's Molcajetes. This was served in a black stone grinding bowl that looked like a bull. This thing has everything but the kitchen sink in it. The melding of flavors was delicious and I really enjoyed it. I'm attaching a photo because seeing is believing. I had my lunch Saturday and three more meals at home with the leftovers. This thing was massive and a great deal at $17. Our waitress, Joyce, was absolutely wonderful. From getting me the home made hot sauce to refilling the chip basket and sodas without asking. We'll be back for more very soon.

The food is rather bland and nothing special on the menu. Taco Bell gives them a run for their money.
