Food is really good for a chain. They really do a great job preparing seafood and the sides were perfectly done, spinach, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Service was VERY attentive almost too much so. Decor in restaurant is a little bland and definitely not a place for kids. Ours normally enjoy being out but this place didnât agree with them. Our mistake as weâll stick to adults only if we go in the future. Oh and Bang Bang shrimp is the bomb.

We really wanted to like this place. The decor is fun, and it's convenient of you're staying at the hotel. We started at the bar, where we sat for 10 min. until we got a bartender to wait on us. Never asked if we wanted another drink or food. We finally paid our bill, got up and went to the posted sign that said "Wait to be seated." No one was there. Finally, someone saw us and asked what we wanted. We told her we wanted to be sat for dinner. We were taken to a booth with menus and waited 15 min. for anyone to even see us. Meanwhile, 2 nearby tables were seated after us, got menus and their orders taken. We finally got up and went to find someone to wait on us. The same person who sat us came over and apologized, took our order and 5 min. later brought us water. 40 min. later we got our food - which was long considering we ordered the Friday Fish with pancakes, a cup of gumbo and a loaded baked potato. The gumbo was cold and pretty bad. The loaded baked potato was barely warm and had very little topping. And, the fish was average - but not the kind of fish that was ordered. We ordered baked it came fried. We mentioned it to the guy who brought it out and he said he'd take something off the bill. But, did not. After about 15 min. the girl - who we never know if she was our server or not because she never said - asked how things were. We asked her if we could see the slip she used to order our food since it was wrong and she said she didn't have it / lost it. Then, she saw that I wasn't eating the gumbo and asked me if I didn't like it. I told her it was cold. She took it away. All this was going on while we were on the clock to catch the hotel shuttle to go to the Billy Joel concert so we didn't have time to deal with all the issues. After eating we waited for our bill. We finally decided to get up and start to leave when the server brought us a bill - but only took off the price of the gumbo. Not sure we will be back here even if we stay at the hotel, which was fantastic.Thank you for providing us with insight on your experience with us. Love, love those oysters. Three sources on this visit. All delightful. Properly chucked and served quickly on ice. Cocktail sauce was a little thin. Too much ketchup not enough chili sauce. Horseradish was freshly shredded. Wine list was well-thought out. Prices were reasonable. Range of choice was terrific. Odd to serve the sparkling Cava in a white wine glass. The pettillance had no starting point unlike in a fluted glass. I had the crabcake (2) platter with red beans/rice, cole slaw and sweet potato fries. All very good. My only complaint was that the cakes were deep-fried. Very dark color. The breading was only on the outside so the crabmeat was ultra moist. Not very hot either. I would have preferred it sautéed. Beans and slaw were perfect. My nephew had the Frogmore stew. The broth was on point. Andouille slices with stewed mussels and chicken. Great toast points to soak up the broth. Five stars!A side of grits and light brown gravy was superb. The third entree was buried in dirty rice. A melange of NOLA favorites. She loved it. For dessert we tried the Coca-Cola cake and salted caramel bread pudding. Five stars. Drink service was slow to irritating. They are losing money on this aspect. A second bartender would pay for itself in an hour. Our server was Mike. Friendly and knowledgeable, he was always asking to be helpful.

Just a little bit of NOLA in the middle of the frozen tundra. We specialize in great cajun and creole cuisine, amazing craft cocktails, and phenomenal service. Like they say in the quarter, "laissez le bon temps rouler!" or "Let the good times roll!"
Crawdaddys was our favorite restaurant from way back when it was on greenfield av. We were excited to see it back open. When we arrived the restaurant was completely empty. Which was odd to us but it was early so we did not think anything of it. We then looked at the menu. They had many changes to the menu and many items on the menu are not cajun. We ordered crab cakes which were obviously frozen and were like hockey pucks. My husband ordered brisket. It was supposed to be slices and it came out in chunks. It actually looked like tofu. It was not good and he ate two bites and we paid and left. We will never be back and do not think this place will stay open long. Too bad as they had a good thing before going under new ownership.Sherry, the original Crawdaddy's you were so fond of will be re-opening soon on 96th & National. You can visit us on Facebook at Crawdaddy's Roadhouse.
