A small cafe in a hidden away spot with a few shops. This is a lunch only place and a must do if in the area. After a great lunch spend a few minutes browsing in the few shops that are on the property. A historical site not to be missed.

5 of us went out to celebrate a 60th birthday of a friend. This was a new experience for all of us...and the birthday boy likes supper clubs. The restaurant itself was quite quaint and over all the food was good, however some of the menu selections for dinner left me a bit up in the air. I was looking for a steak, and there were limited choices. The tenderloin intrigued me, however it was only offered with shrimp and scallops and I have a shellfish allergy. I was offered a tenderloin sandwich...there are no other options. So I went totally into left field with grandma's fried chicken. Well let me tell you ...grandma must have died of high cholesterol because the half chicken on my plate had at least a 1/4 inch of breading fried onto it and the grease flowed out onto my plate when I pulled the skin back. The chicken itself was moist but I am not sure it was 100% cooked. The rest of our party ordered the specials for Saturday and they were pleased with their meals so all was not lost. It was a 60th birthday celebration and we mentioned that several times-no cake was ever offered...not a game changer but most places will offer that.
Tuna sandwich was excellent. This beats Jimmy John's,and Cousin's..The Italian roll they use is also very good. They don't charge extra for pickles, lettuce and whatever else you.select.You can get a whole sub for 5 bucks.I visited the shop in Miller parkway in Milwaukee, and, they were very nice, and, helpful.I'm not a big sandwich guy, however, this place beats the competition.
