Delicious hot food. My favorite dish is the steak Oscar. Excellent steak and perfectly prepared black tiger shrimp. Best bread pudding you have ever had. My lady and I eat there a lot. We had a bad experience the last time we went. Everything was underspiced and not up to the usual standards. We coughed it up to the cook maybe having a bad day. We are going to give them another try and hope they have returned to their normal standard of excellence.The advantage of being an active proprietor is I'm usually on the property. So sorry we missed the mark, I would have preferred to fix it during your visit than after, but my team never mentioned your comments - please know you can always ask for Dave. We had made a reservation and were seated immediately (it was a Monday evening). I had a huge onion soup and a 10oz prime rib that had very little fat on it while my wife and our friends all had the petite filet. My wife and I shared carrot cake for dessert.

A near perfect dining experience and a very pleasant surprise in a city of generally mediocre restaurants. The soup, a gumbo, was spicy, authentic, and delicious. We split two main courses, sauteed shrimp in bucatini pasta and an 8 ounce tenderloin with bearnaise sauce. The shrimp and pasta were delicious; the tenderloin was cooked to perfection and very tender--a steak on par with a great steakhouse like the Capitol Grille. Some might complain about the price. If you like cheap steak, go to Applebees or Sebastions. Highly recommended!
