Find out what Contemporary restaurants to try in Milwaukee. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is perhaps best known for its famous breweries and the Major League Brewers, but there's more to the city than beer and baseball. Milwaukee is rich in historical and cultural attractions, making it the perfect place for a weekend of exploring. Check out the newly expanded Milwaukee Art Museum or the Mitchell Park Horticultural Society, which hosts an annual show of the same flora and fauna seen in Georgia O'Keefe's paintings. Those interested in the city's history can visit the grand Pabst Mansion, former home of one of the city's famous beer barons, or the Milwaukee Public Museum, to see what life was like in Old Milwaukee. If the kids are along, don't miss the Milwaukee County Zoo or the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. Of course a trip to the "Genuine American City" would not be complete without a tour of the Miller Brewing Company and a Brewers game at Miller Park.

Wife and I decided to dine out at Bacchus before a trip to Jamaica. Reservations were easy. Valet parking is very much appreciated. Seated immediately and greeted immediately by our waiter âNickâ. Congenial college kid formerly from West Virginia. We had so many gift cards from our kids, I thought Bacchus would have to re-pay us. Wine selection is extraordinary. Settled on a Reisling. Quite good. Appetizer suggestion brought us Pati de faux gra (ignore the spelling) but do not pass it up. Super great. Spinach salad was superior. The nightly special was tremendous. Rib eye steak for two. Too much, called for a âdoggie bagâ. Coffee flavored Creme Brûlle set us off to cap a great night. Not sure if the service beat the dinner or vice versa. But this is our top choice for âspecial dinnersâ. Car valet ran the 40 yards in 4,4 or so.Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Joseph! We're happy to hear you and your wife enjoyed your pre-trip dinner and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

The redesigned Anchorage restaurant and River's Edge Lounge uses high quality locally sourced ingredients to enhance all their dishes.
I was under the impression that the restaurant was open until 9:00. I arrived just after 8. The lights were on. Doors were open. But nobody home. No host/hostess or waitstaff. Completely empty. I waited a little while but nobody came out. So back to the hotel room I went. Ordered room service and the food was excellent!I had never heard of anything such as Quebec Poutine Tots and I am not sure what every ingredient was in it but it was delicious. The entree was just as good... Herbed chicken with risotto may not be the most adventurous item to order but it was amazing! Ate more than I should have. Portions were quite large. I wish I could have dined in the restaurant and viewed the river but I still feel myself lucky to have had such a memorable meal.
