We stopped here when we were exploring Wausau's downtown area. It is situated very nicely in the busy and vibrant downtown area. It would be perfectly suited for dining when the downtown concerts are held. We requested outdoor seating on the day we were there. It is a perfect place to people watch. The food is well done. Everything we had was very good. We ordered a Turkey Club sandwich with potato salad and an Philly Cheesesteak with fries. Top notch offerings down to the fries. The drinks too were very good. Atmosphere and service again well above average. Atmosphere actually would get a 5 star rating from us. It is well done inside and dining on the sidewalk in this beautiful downtown setting is enjoyable. The young lady serving us cared and it showed. She was attentive but not over bearing. We actually had another server engage us in conversation as well. Fun people to be around..Overall this is a solid dining establishment. It does everything well (food especially). We enjoyed our time here and can easily recommend a stop at this place.

This looks like an ordinary sports bar, but it's anything but. The food is excellent. Good choices on the menu. And the biggest surprise of all is that their pizza is fantastic! I'm Italian, and it's one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely return if business brings me back to town

Rustic old-world fare with a modern interpretation. 101 draft beers poured on a Gen2 tap system by Cicerone certified beer servers, as well as an extensive selection of craft cocktails. We also feature a beer cellar with aged offerings to enjoy at your ta
My Wife & I wanted to have a nice dinner for our anniversary, and Tine & Cellar was on our short list. Soooooo glad we did! The décor is great, and gives an open/airy feel. Towards the end of our meal, the place was filling up, but we could still have a conversation without leaning-in or repeating ourselves. Our server, Holly, professional and personable, the kind of person youâd love to have pull up a chair and spend a bit of time with your group. Tine & Cellar has an extensive bar menu, and they are willing to make your personal favorites as well. We had the brussels sprouts appetizer. As a rule, I view brussels sprouts as cabbages that just gave up on growing, and I never had much use for them. Until tonight at Tine & Cellar. These are tasty, the bacon played a part, but still they are pretty tasty. My Bride had the Tine & Cellar Burger, and I had the Ham & Pear Sandwich. We opted for the upgrade to truffle fries...you should too! The burger has deep, earthy tones, and itâs hard to put down. I was halfway through my sandwich before I remembered that there were custom-blended condiments on my plate! I thought the truffles fries were a Serving of Decadence, but true decadence came in the form of the Hazelnut Chocolate Tart. WOW! We will be back, hope to see you there!

The service is extremely friendly and helpful. The recommendations were spot on. Due to the proximity of the Marriott (next door) I dined here two days in a row. It was delicious both meals. Of course we sampled the cheese curds pursuant to Wisconsin law. I normally am a meat & spud guy but had a Cobb salad. It was good and huge. The following day I had a garbage burger---not the name (it had everything on it) and it was very good. Good experience all the way around.

Established in 1936, the palms boasts excellent atmosphere and excellent food. The famous round bar was built using the same tree and is believed to be the 1st round bar in the country. "Paradise on your plate" is our motto. And our Dedicated and long tim
Spouse and two friends visited The Palms on Aug 29 for lunch. We heard it is under new ownership and management and wanted to try it out. I had a salad and crab cakes (appetizer), spouse had shrimp basket, others had a BLT and chicken tenders.BLT was very good, the chicken tenders were reported as very tender a delicious and the shrimp was reported to be the best she ever had (she almost always orders shrimp!) My salad was a side salad dish and was very fresh with excellent honey mustard dressing. The crab cakes were OK but then I compare them to those I have had in San Francisco, etc, so my comparison is "tainted"; still they were tasty. The place is undergoing some renovations so they had not completely cleaned up the site (blue painters tape was still on the wall!). This place is worth another visit from us.P.S. the server (Deb) was previously at the Hiawatha as was the chef. Deb did here usual excellent job and so did the chef!

Great atmosphere! Came out to enjoy live music on a Friday night and loved how people were so into it â it made for a really fun vibe! We were greeted at our table in the bar area within a minute of sitting down; service was fast and friendly throughout. Just ordered fries and drinks and both were tasty. We are definitely planning to come back to eat a full meal and check out the patio.

This is very much a Burger Pub. Quite a good selection of burger to choose from and an extensive selection of beer. My wife has a classic cheese burger done exactly the way she likes it and I had the Kentucky Bourbon classic. Excellent!I would highly recommend them. Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to leave us this review, Speckul8r! We will definitely be passing your compliments on to our staff. We are so glad you dined with us, and it will be our pleasure to serve you again soon so you can try more items on our menu and let us know your thoughts.

We decided to stop here for lunch due to a recommendation from a friend. We were quite pleased. Sat at the bar and waited for the rest of our party around noon on a saturday. Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Grabbed us drinks very quickly and made small chat with us. We got a table immediately after everyone showed up. Decided on cheese curds and brussel sprouts for shareable apps. Never thought I'd say this but...those brussel sprouts were potentially the best vegetable I've ever eaten. They were coated/soaked in some miso/ginger/sweet asain sauce that was just dynamite. Cheese curds were absolutely amazing as well. Our mains included a standard cheese burger, a chicken sammy and some chicken tenders to name a few. Only negative I heard was the blt, had some sundried tomato mayo on it that didnt quite fit the overall blt flavor. Nevertheless this place was a lot of fun, clean and great service. Will come back again when in Wausau area!
