First, I judge family restaurant and supper club salad bars by two items--pickled beets and pickled herring. Two thumbs up! Plenty of fresh items for salad as well. I ordered the broiled cod and sweet potato fries. The fish was perfect, and the fries came with whipped cinnamon butter??!! Holy cow, it was fantastic! Staff is SUPER friendly--you can tell this is a favorite of locals.

We enjoy both Burger Fusion locations in La Crosse area. The one is in the Valley View Mall, the one that I'm rating today is in the Holiday Inn in downtown La Crosse right by the La Crosse Center. The burgers are really excellent, such a variety. Besides burgers, the beer selections are also very good. When family or friends come into town-this is a great place to go for any meal. The workers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Been to both establishments numerous times, ALWAYS good experienceChief Bluehawk, You make as blush. Thank you for the awesome review. We are so pleased you enjoy each and every experience at Burger Fusion Company. We will pass along your praise to our staff. Looking forward to seeing you again. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Stopped here for lunch while waiting for someone to wake up from surgery. Had to have a bloody of course. It was very very good!!! We had the pretzel bites to start which are to die for and then 2 people had a cheeseburger and they said it was very good. 1 with regular fries and 1 with sweet potato fries. Best fries they have had in along time they said. I had the dive bar sandwich which is like a philly cheesesteak but with pulled pork. So so good!!!! The dynamite sauce is a great addition to sandwich! We will definitely be back! Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to leave us this review, Lindsey! We will definitely be passing your compliments on to our staff. We are so glad you dined with us, and it will be our pleasure to serve you again soon so you can try more items on our menu and let us know your thoughts.

I went with a friend on a Friday for fish fry (a Wisconsin lent MUST DO). The place is a smaller / medium size restaurant. Although the waiting area was packed, we got a table within 10 mins and ate in the bar section. It took a bit for a server to come but she was amazing the whole time. Super sweet and helpful. The salad bar was good. It included pickled herring (ACK) as well as salad (both spring mix and iceberg), pudding, soup, etc. My only wish is that it had some kind of low calorie dressing option. The broiled and batter fried fish, sides were tasty, and it was a standard area reasonable price for 2/3 piece. I plan to return as it was a good neighborhood feel and everyone enjoyed the food.Thank you so much, Travlin-with-tots, for this excellent rating and review. We appreciate your compliments, and also your suggestion. We are so very pleased that you enjoyed your service, food, and friendly atmosphere. We are delighted that you plan to return. Thank you!!

The pub had few people in it when I arrived for an early lunch (at 11:30 am). I ate the pulled pork sandwich with melted cheese (and bacon added). It tasted great and had the right size - not too big, but enough to satisfy my hunger). The one server active was helpful.

We have eaten there many times over the years but I don’t think I have ever reviewed. The staff is very good. They are usually crazy busy but still manage to be on top of things every time we have eaten there! Most times have been for breakfast and have never had anything that wasn’t great. Also, one of the best Bloody Mary’s ever!!! This is a must when we visit La Crosse!!!

The vibe is really fun with an old diner feel and 80s music and videos. I loved the lunch boxes at the table that held all your condiments...nice touch. Service was quick and friendly...welcomed as I walked in the door. The menu has clearly lots of breakfast options but I think on the back I noticed less breakfasty food. I had a cheese omelet which was covered in a cheese sauce. It was fantastic! Coffee was good and hot as well. I enjoyed my meal as well as the fun atmosphere. They have a full bar with some fun specialty choices. Bathrooms were clean as a bonus. Loved this place. Check it out for a flashback to some 80s favs and some great breakfast food!

The Crow

Voted 2015 & 2016's Best New Restaurant in La Crosse, The Crow is La Crosse's only bar & restaurant dedicated to providing craft beer, unique bourbon, and great American food.

Visited the Crow for a light dinner over Labor Day weekend. The service was very good but the food was average. We had a single-patty grilled cheese burger and a single-patty mac-cheese burger. Both were prepared well and were a nice sized serving. The patties seemed like premade/frozen and very lightly seasoned. The mac and cheese on the burger was the highlight - it was very cheesy and the pasta was cooked well. The prices were very reasonable so I would eat here again but would not go out of my way to come here.Thank you for the review, Jjlash. We appreciate your detailed feedback, as it allows us to constantly grow and improve. We are pleased you enjoyed excellent service. Your comments regarding your burger choices have been shared with our concerned kitchen team. We hope you allow us the chance to "wow" you on a future visit.

My husband and I stopped last night after Moon Tunes and we expected it to be busy. However, we were seated outside right away which was encouraging. It took a while for someone to bring us a menu and take a drink order which again was disappointing, but somewhat expected. It took at least 15 minutes for us to get our drinks. When the waitress finally brought our drinks she blamed the wait on the bar (the bartenders did not appear busy). I asked her if kitchen service was going to be just as slow and she said "yes, at least an hour for food". We had about a 40 minute drive home and I would have liked to have know that before we wasted 30 minutes getting a beer. It would have been nice to know of the excessive wait when we placed our drink order as we most likely would have just chosen to go home. I don't think if I'd asked she would have volunteered that info. Shame on me for not asking before we ordered but I think the wait staff should be aware that not everyone lives in LaCrosse and not everyone has nothing but time on a Thursday night. It's great that they were busy and lesson learned on my end.Debra, thank you for sharing your time with us. We never want our guests to feel rushed or that they've waited too long. It's my hope that this was a one time issue and that you'd consider coming to see us again. If so, please email us at [email protected] so that we can offer to make this experience up to you. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. Let's talk soon.
