I was pretty stoked to try a new restaurant in the area (new for me) and I had heard about Chef Rene in the past. I would truthfully have given this restaurant three and a half stars if I had that capability.Ok, the negatives. This is not a cheap place for dinner. Our tab for dinner, a glass of wine each and a shared desert was over $80 without the tip. I think that's why my complaints might seem nit picky but for $80, I expect the food to be pretty close to perfect.I expect the wait staff to know the menu. Ours didn't know if a wine I wanted to order was sweet or dry, she wasn't sure about the special for the night but I was able to educate her on whether or not the scallops were dry pack or wet pack. For my main meal I had Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo. While the sauce was good, it wasn't creamy and smooth. The scallops were good but had no crust on them (dry pack/wet pack) and the shrimp was overcooked. Our salads were tasty but there was no crunchy element; buttery herb infused croutons would have been a great touch. My husband had the salmon which looked good and he had no complaints. For desert we had a custard thing which was definitely passable.I would give the place a second chance and maybe order a meat entree, possibly skip the desert and go for an appetizer. I'm always looking for that elusive "great" meal in the Northwoods.

Thoroughly enjoyed food and staff. Great burger and fries served in reasonable amount of time at a good price. Nice selections on menu. Will return. Highly recommend for informal dining.

Newly remodeled Steak & Seafood Charhouse. Casual fine dining located in Eagle River WI. Scratch cooking at it's finest. Catch us today @ Catch 22 for nightly specials & homemade desserts. Home of the award winning Blueberry Old Fashioned.
Catch 22 is an excellent supper club in the great north woods of Wisconsin that we found while snowmobiling!! The food is absolutely delicious and Tanner, the trained chef, strives to prepare your meal exactly the way you like it! Justin the bartender is a pleasure and Al the owner is the type of person whose goal is to simply make his customers experience the best ever! Al even went and purchased a bottle of liquor especially for me because I was disappointed they didn't carry my favorite brand. Catch is now my favorite supper club and I'm sure that you will think so too!! I've had the Scallop risotto and the pan seared Salmon with risotto while my bf is sold on the superb pork chop. Catch 22 is a fine jewel and no matter what you order, I'm sure it will be delicious!!Thank you so much Laura... Glad to have you back. See you on your next trip north - McGillicuddy will be waiting for you ;)

We decided to try this newly remodeled and different ownership restuarant. The bar is lovely and so are the lawn beanbag games provided for waiting families outside. They also are accessible by boat on the chain(big plus)Spoiler alert, there is a reason this place is called a grill. Salads are extra. Vegetables instead of potatoes are extra. No bread and butter prior ( one roll in your dinner plate). Wine bottles served already opened plunked down on the table with wines glasses to serve yourself. Cheap silverware wrapped in cheap paper napkins I ordered pork shanks ( spicy and really four small ribs) and my husband ordered the New York strip(Really good). This is more of a Burgers and beer place than a special dinner outPrices are on the high side when you add extra salad charges

Enjoyed Easter Brunch at Eagle Waters. The place was incredibly busy and staff were bustling to accommodate. The food and wide selection was excellent, fresh and well prepared. Lots of salad, fresh fruit offerings, and fresh prepared hot entrees. Their dessert table was loaded -- some of the best flan and bread pudding I've been served.

Went for dinner at 4:45 pm, sat on deck, first time visit. My wife ordered BBQ pork sandwich and I ordered Broasted Chicken. No bread served with dinner, just stale crackers and breadsticks. Plates arrive after my salad of old greens, 2 cherry tomatoes and I think bacon bits?, not sure. My wife said her sandwich was okay, fries good, my chicken was a different story. Half chicken was severely over done, smelled burnt and all the breading was dark and greasy, did not eat wing, some leg was edible as was the thigh after peeling all burnt taste off, breast was okay but greasy. Server asked how meal was and I told her it is burnt, greasy and really not that good, she was going to kitchen to investigate. She comes back and TELLS me they forgot to change oil night before and NO mention of would you like something else, a drink, dessert? Paid bill, over tipped ( 15%) and will NEVER go back.....yuck....did I mention greasy pancreatic pains on way home? They are lucky I did not go straight to the ER, I am not kidding, have had greasy gut pain before, not a normal thing for me.

The food was average. Nothing exciting. It's a fun place though and the service was good and drinks were served right away. I would go back because it's close to the Wild Eagle Lodge where we were staying. We could even walk there.

Great Sports Bar and phenomenal food. Watch any sport on 20 televisions.
The restaurant was only half full when we got there but no one ever came to serve us after we were seated. At one point we saw two employees arguing about who had to serve our table. No one ever came. Two more tables close to us were seated and at least got waters. We finally told the manager and he said he couldnât do anything about it. I would say they were racist and bigoted but we were the same race as them. The place looks nice but the people stink.

1st time for us at Buckshots. Festival weekend in Eagle River and many places were not open. Great chili and soups, cheese curds and onion rings. Sandwiches looked good going to other tables. About 20 tap beers available. Place was busy but they kept up and were very attentive to everyone. We will definitely go back and try more of their menu items.Thank you so much, Debra. We truly appreciate the great rating and kind comments about our awesome food. We look forward to your next visit. Thank you, Debra.

We ate here twice. It was enjoyable on both occasions. Interesting entrees with variety. I had a cod dish one day similar to a scampi with lots of garlic seasoning. It went great with the margarita. Delicious walleye fish fry on Friday. My husband totally enjoyed it. If it pleases him than it must be good. Staff was friendly and prompt on both occasions.
