Three of us ate here on a Friday night for dinner recently. Making a reservation was very easy; the staff member was friendly and helpful. The place was busy - lots of Brewers baseball fans watching the first game of the NL conference series. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to our booth - plenty of room for three people. Our server, Alicia, was very friendly and attentive. She gets an A+, and I hope to have her as a server again. Our orders were: Crabby Haddock, Shrimp and Chips, and Fish and Chips. All orders came with a generously sized mixed green salad. Their usual basket of scones and soft biscuits with honey butter was excellent as always. The Crabby Haddock was all-you-can eat, and so was the Fish and Chips. The Crappy Haddock was excellent - the haddock was cooked to perfection (not overcooked), and covered with a tasty, mild, creamy sauce. It came with seasoned waffle fries, which were cooked well, but seasoned a bit too assertively for my taste. My dining partner who ordered this dish enjoyed all of it, he reported. The Shrimp and Chips was ordered by another dining partner. He reported that the shrimp were cooked perfectly and that the breading was light and crispy - not over breaded. His also came with seasoned waffle fries, which he said were suited to his taste. He was happy with the size of his order.I ordered the all-you-can-eat Fish and Chips, and I wish I had ordered just the single serving. I chose coleslaw for my side dish - the coleslaw was crispy and tangy - nice, but I would say average in taste. The first batch of fish - three pieces of cod - were relatively small in size, but, they were cooked perfectly - the batter was crispy and golden in color. The second batch - two pieces - was over cooked - dark brown, and the batter was quite hard, with the fish quite dry inside. The thing about cod is that it, when it is deep fried, it can be cooked just slightly undercooked, and it will continue cooking while resting out of the oil. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She took excellent care of us, and if we return to Beefeaters in Appleton, I hope we have her as our server. I have had better luck with lunch here, and I would return again for lunch and dinner. But next time I have dinner here, I'll order something else, and avoid the Fish and Chips.

We have an obvious and delicious priority - beer. Our goal is to put top-notch brew in your glass while putting you in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Appleton Beer Factory beers are crafted to deliver what is so often missing from many beers on the market
Took the family to experience freshly brewed beer and enjoy some really good food. Tried a few different beers and settled for the Shadow Hammer Stout. It had lots of flavors. The hoppy Tracks curds and pulled pork really did the trick. My bratt platter was very filling. Would have liked them put on a roll. The spinach and salsa dip was excellent. Overhaul a very nice place to eat and drink with family and friends.

Sunday night, our third restaurant, the first two had one hour waits, we were so glad we found this gem. Our party of 7 all tried something different, everyone was extremely pleased with not only the food but excellent service. From the appetizer of breaded avocado and stuffed mushrooms to our entrees of gumbo, jambalaya, fish tacos and house special ribs with sides of Mac n cheese, cole slaw and garlic points all I can say is wow, we were very fortunate to have great evening meals. We will be back and can highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped in for burgers for the first time... wow, we were not disappointed! Friendly bartender greeted us right away, promptly got us our drinks, a beer for hubs and Bacardi for me. Both burgers were great, a bacon CB and the mushroom swiss burger. Don't miss out on the garlic aioli ...fries and rings were good too.We will absolutely be back!

Ordered the cajun pasta which was a bit salty. The pasta was done to perfection though. My wife had a turkey pesto sandwich which she said was good but not great. This is a restaurant that has a huge menu. To me, that means that you do all average and not to perfection. The salad that accompanied my meal was average as well. Service was great though which was greatly appreciated.

My spouse and I went to this restaurant for Motherâs Day dinner. We didnât get very far into our dining-out process, before we left due to poor service. We both ordered a soda...and they both tasted heavily of soda water (no syrup in the drink). When our server returned, I told her âthis kinda tastes like there isnât enough syrup in itâ. She replied with a terse âthey just changed itâ, and we could feel the iciness in her personality. I APOLOGIZED to HER since I felt bad asking for a different soda. Why did I apologize to her? Because I felt incredibly awkward in this situation. I was just asking for a drink that tastes as it should, and we got a standoffish response from her. I tried to let it go. She brought out a new set of drinks and said she got them âfrom a different gunâ. As the server walked away, my spouse took a few sips and then looked at me in a way I knew it wasnât good. I tried my drink, and again it tasted like soda water. Yuck. I placed my glass on the corner of the table, away from me. My non-verbal way of trying to say âthis still doesnât taste goodâ. When she came back she said âitâs not better?â I cringed and said âno, not really, it tastes like soda water stillâ. Instead of apologizing, she quickly said âcan I get you something else?â I only drink *one* flavor of soda, and if thatâs not available, I drink plain water. So thatâs what I ordered, because thatâs what I wanted. When I said âa water would be greatâ, she said âwe have lemonade, root beer (and other choices I canât remember)â I responded that water is fine. The server came back for a third time, this time with my glass of water. She set it down on the table and kept going...like a drive-by. Again, no apology for the issue with the soda tasting like crap. Nothing said like âhere is your waterâ. Nothing. I felt like I was a thorn in her side, because THEIR soda tasted horrible. I couldnât imagine tipping this lady anything, what with the horrendously rude service on Motherâs Day. I made the decision to go to the bar and see if we could get our order to go instead. Iâd rather eat back at the hotel (around the corner from this restaurant) than deal with this unpleasant lady. At the bar I was trying to ask the bartender if I could get our order to go instead. As I was explaining the situation, the same server came up on my side and put her face right into my personal space and asked âis something wrong??â It felt incredibly uncomfortable to have her face so close to mine. I didnât want a confrontation, since I was already on the verge of tears from feeling as though *I* did something wrong by bumbling out âthe soda kinda tastes like there isnât enough syrup in itâ. I didnât want a confrontation at any point with her, and I didnât make one. I was simply asking for a drink that tastes good, or at least how it SHOULD. Meanwhile with the serverâs face in mine, I answered her question with ânope. Happy Motherâs Dayâ and we left. Iâm not going to get into it with a person who clearly wanted NOTHING to do with giving positive customer service. I felt unwelcome and like I was being so rude for stating the truth, that the drink was ick!!!I canât recommend this place to anyone that wants a pleasant experience. I hope this lady was just a bad egg, but who knows. The whole place could be full of toxically rude servers who donât know how to be nice to customers.

We visited Draft for a new place on our 34th wedding anniversary. We arrived a little early for our reservation and were seating promptly. Our server, Eric greeted us and took my drink order for a Karben4 Diet Starts Tomorrow beer. Nice choice. We ordered the Pot Stickers as a starter, the Bourbon Pub Burger with Truffle fries and the Gastro Tacos with lobster bisque soup. The Pot Stickers were great, the Pub Burger and Gastro Tacos were fantastic. The truffle fries and the soup were fabulous. We did not have dessert, but they (ny cheesecake or creme brulee) sounded delicious. We have to go back just to try many of the other menu items.

Ate lunch here whilst I was staying in Appleton in business.Easy to find just South of the River Fox with plenty of parking.Nice decor with some great historical pictures of Houdini.Houdini claimed to have been born in Appleton (hence the link to the Town) even though he was actually born in Budapest Hungary in 1874.Yet âhungaryâ you will not be with the excellent menu in the gastro pub! There are some good deals too for lunch with âany two dishes $10â. I had chicken caesar and truffle mac n cheese. Portions are more European than American which is just right for me.Choice of beers is excellent too.Outdoor seating looked good although needs a few more shady tables to really make it work.I would return when I next visit Appleton.

Walked through bar. Nobody working. Used restroom and returned. Still nobody working. Used WiFi to summon an Uber. Only saw two couples (customers) during my fifteen to twenty minutes there. Several establishments appeared to share the building, or maybe one establishments with different rooms.
