Thought we would give this place another chance, due to their tasty Pub Grub fries. The fries were actually topped by the Blazing Cajun Burger, which was spicy yet permitted other flavors to come through. We will definitely be back to have another one and perhaps even try the peanut butter burger.

We stopped for lunch after seeing the reviews here. We were the first ones there and loved the charming decor and intimate dining rooms. We had the pulled pork and mushroom soup, and French ham and cheese with chicken noodle soup. Everything was excellent! Small tables with comfortable chairs in a quiet, charming room. What's not to like? We'll be back!

It was Wednesday evening when 12 members of our family dined at Chiliâs Restaurant in the Crossroadâs area. Despite the size of our group, we received quick friendly service. Soon after we enjoyed the crispy chips and tasty guacamole appetizers, our individual plates started appearing on the table. One family member had recommended the Spicy Taco Shrimps and half the group ordered that dish, which was tasty but not as delicious as we were led to expect. But the two who ordered ribs raved about their dishes, as did the three who had Fajitas.

We had a take out order for a family of five. Heard the portions were large, so we ordered 4 orders with fries and salads. The fries and salads were "normal" portion containers. The salad was refreshing and well made. The fries were crispy outside and soft and creamy inside. We, however, could have ordered TWO fish orders for the five of us. The pieces are not unlike a Mrs. Paul's filet but thicker and tastier. However, there were a zillion of them. We threw out two whole containers of fish because we couldn't eat them all. That said, each of us had 3 pieces. Yummy stuff!

We were happy to learn that this restaurant was coming to the Plover/Stevens Point area, after experiencing Monk's in Wisconsin Dells, and Sun Prairie, WI. This is an updated version of the iconic Dells experience, but very good in every way. Prime rib is offered on Saturday evenings, and met our delicious expectation! There are plenty of menu options . . . so many, we'll plan a return visit!

Consistently good, as weâve stopped here many times now. Price includes pizza buffet, salad bar, and also a table of hot food such as DELICIOUS fried chicken, various potatoes, biscuits, vegetables, etc. Soft serve vanilla ice cream and dessert pizza! Also, good coffee is included in buffet price. Soft drinks are extra. Restaurant is clean and fully staffed.

My family has come to this place over the years and we were sorely disappointed after the Easter brunch. I am sorry to have to write this about a local business that has been around forever. But they clearly were overbooked and understaffed, and for the price, I suspect the whole room felt taken for a ride. First, the man at the counter told us and other groups that weâd need to wait 20-30 minutes after our reservation time. Twenty minutes turned into 45 - the whole front area was filled with irritated people, who were repeatedly told that the tables were being set. Once we were finally seated, we found a messy display at the buffet - no dinner plates, utensils falling into the food with peopleâs bare hands fishing spoons out of gravy, stuffing, and giblets, and globby, dried remnants all along the tray space. There was no one cleaning or maintaining it. There also was no shrimp or stuffing for most of our meal - when a worker finally brought the shrimp out, people were taking whole plates of it like it was Armageddon. For $22 a piece without drinks, and with no breakfast options or selections of desserts like other places in the area (just one dried cake per person), it was a ripoff. Other people were talking about it as well. The girl at the counter must have heard others talking, and she kept her eyes down and didnât ask how the food was as she took credit card after card. We will not be back, sad to say.

We are the Plover area's top rated wine and craft cocktail bar...serving a full Heartland inspired menu. Over 100 wines to choose from alongside an ever-changing cocktail lineup!
We stopped by for a drink, and dessert, after dinner at Mikeyâs, an affiliated restaurant. The decor was different, and very eclectic, in a contemporary style. I had a Smoked Manhattan, which was served in an unusual way. The Manhattan was served on a wooden tray, under glass, on a bed of live pipe tobacco. The pipe tobacco smoke was infused into the drink, and glass. I liked it. My wife had a glass off a tasty Spanish Tempranillo. We split a delicious serving of Bread Pudding. We will stop by for dinner this summer.

Take your average chain restaurant...Now take the exact opposite of that.
Mikey's offer's a selection of gluten free items and our server tonight has a gluten intolerance so she was very helpful with my wife's selection. She loved the gluten free hamburger bun which was accompanied by a beef burger covered with sliced green olives and a "special sauce" consisting of capers and horseradish and sour cream and dijon. Her sweet potato fries were some of the best ever. I enjoyed the maple bourbon pork chop on a layer of garlic mashed potatoes and long green beans.

The Wooden Chair features high quality ingredients married with interesting menu variations. Their friendly and attentive staff made our experience very pleasant. The fresh cherry and strawberry topped pancakes were a seasonal surprise. Their unique take on avocado toast fills your mouth with a harmony of flavors. The restaurant is full of personality, from antique gadgets adorning the brick walls from the 1800s to beehive shaped honey containers. The Wooden Chair is not to be missed!
