met friends for lunch in Dodgeville. Bobâsis Located downtown in a neat old brick building.the ribs were outstanding, the brisket lean with next to no fat, and the pulled pork sandwich was served with coleslaw on the sandwich Memphis style. Price was reasonable. Iâd give it an 8 out of 10!
We went for a "gals nite out", with the bride, the night before the wedding. She was from the area and suggested going here. She said it was laid back and casual and it was. An older building but well maintained, on a golf course. We had a corner table, by the fireplace, with corner windows with a lovely view of the course and a garden. Lovely setting. Two of us had the fish and chips special and two had the shrimp scampi. We were all very pleased. Food delicious. With the meal, they bring you a bread bowl, a relish tray with a cheese "dip", and you get choice of vegetable with meal. All at a ridiculously reasonable price. We are from the twin cities and you cannot get such a meal, with everything that was included, anywhere in the cities, at this price. One of our gals was so impressed with her meal cost, that she photographed her bill and posted it on her Facebook!! You do not need to be a "member" of the golf club to go there, it is open to the public. If you're looking for great food, in a casual atmosphere, really good service, at a really reasonable cost, this is the place for you.

We discovered this bar/restaurant on a visit to Mineral Point, quite by accident, and we now make this our "go to" restaurant when we visit. The food is great and the owners/staff couldn't be more friendly and pleasant. We are always pleasantly surprised by the warmth of everyone we meet in Mineral Point. I suggest that people who are interested in experiencing the hospitality of this area make Tony's Tap part of their visit.

We were totally underwhelmed by this place. Definitely a locals joint. Not particularly clean or inviting looking, and pretty basic (which is fine if everything else is okay). I ordered scrambled eggs w/cheese and some toast. they arrived looking like sort of a mess (not scrambled but folded like an omelette but a mess), also not warm. Service was just okay, and they did replace my eggs. My Dad got (what they called) a tea cake, which was a crumbly mess and not fresh. This is a Cornish thing that they serve in Mineral Point, but this was a poor substitute. I don't need to go back.

We've eaten at the Midway twice on trips through Mineral Point. This time we tried their pizza. It really was outstanding. Nice local bar.

Southwestern Grille and Margarita Bar
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks! My husband and I visited last night. We enjoyed chatting with the bartender/manager/owners and appreciated their recommendations! Our food was so tasty, and so fresh. Husband had the beef chimichanga and I had the carnitas tacos, both delicious. We also had the IPA battered shrimp special as an appetizer and the chocolate Espresso cake. Wowza. I don't think there was anything we didn't enjoy about this place! Definitely recommend for a date night! My only recommendation to the folks at Tequila Point is to add more basil to the blueberry basil margarita. It'll increase the deliciousness of an already delicious drink!

We went for my birthday and had a great time. We had the pizza and garlic bread. Both were amazing. We would go back. My daughter has a food allergy and was nervous about eating in a new place. The waitress told the owner who also has a food allergy the owner came out and talked to our daughter which reassured her. We were impressed by this.

Family owned cafe located in historical downtown Mineral Point. Serving fresh Cornish pasty daily for over 40 years. Breakfast served all day. We appreciate your business!
We recently visited the Red Rooster three times in our weekend stay. Each visit was great!! The food and service were both excellent! It has the small town feel and friendliness, with excellent home cooked meals! We were there to try the figgyhobbin, and really liked it! They also serve pasties and other Cornish treats. We loved that they stick to the tradition that made Mineral Point! If you are in town, don't miss this spot!
