Straight up,,,the food stinks. You get the lowest quality food. Food is cold and not very well kept up. Mostly dry. BBQ sauce is the cheapest, gross excuse. But sometimes, sometimes the service is good. Other times you have to interrupt the server from her 15 minute conversation with her friends. The stack of plate will sit there till your done most the time.

If you are traveling or a local, this is the place you must stop and get some breakfast. We live locally and eat here most weekends. I love that I can call up and place an order and it will be ready in 15 minutes. This is the type of place you walk away with a full belly saying "I'll be back!". The food prices are VERY affordable and everyone that has written about the pancake IS RIGHT! The pancakes are AMAZING! My other fav. is the hashbrowns! Who still shreds their own? They do!! This is a cash only restaurant-make sure you bring cash for breakfast and a tip as the service is wonderful!

With classic American chophouses in mind, Wissota features USDA Angus Beef, an excellent variety of the freshest seafood, and creative sides. Our steaks start with the best cuts of meat, seasoned simply & cooked to perfection, delivered to your table perf
On 12/29/2018 my hubby and I truly enjoyed our dinner out at Wissota Chop House. Our daughter Kerri and her hubby John gave us a gift certificate for the Wissota Chop House for Christmas. We had been there before and really liked it. On this occasion we were greeted by Ella, the hostess with a smile. She was very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our waitress Cora was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Cora made us feel like we were having dinner at home. I ordered the 6oz petite mignon and my hubby ordered the 10 oz filet mignon. We topped off the steak with the wild mushroom medley. The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. They were tender, cut like butter and seasoned just right. We added the garlic chive whipped potatoes for two and the grilled asparagus. Both the potatoes and asparagus were outstanding and truly complemented our meal.We have read previous reviews about the Wissota Chop House saying it was âpriceyâ. Yes, it is a little pricy, however everything we chose was cooked to perfection and worth the price. Our compliments also go out to the chef. During our dinner the manager, Rachel, who was also very cordial stopped by our table to make sure our dinner was as we ordered. We told her on a scale of 0 to 10 the meal and service were a 10. A bonus to us was when we were given a 10% discount when they learned that my husband was a Vietnam veteran. We thank them so much for that. We will return. If you donât mind paying a little bit more money for quality food and service you will find that this restaurant is well with it. Pat & Ted Engelbart Hustisford, WI

This place is very well decorated and has a great menu with excellent pricing. The portions are large and the service is with a smile. I'm pretty sure they do breakfast all day.

Tried to get into some other places in the area and they wee filled, so we saw Hank's was empty. The place filled up about an hour later. The menu has a number of great selections of appetizers and food choices. They also have a pretty good selection of local beers and you can try the tower of beer (72 oz).

Huge restaurant with tons of choices. We had the best service ever as Brittany was so energetic and smiling and always offering wonderful suggestions to our every question. She was so very impressive and one of the best servers I have had in over two years. Great work Brittany and never change! We started off with chicken tenders, fried mozzarella sticks and shredded haystack and that was a pretty tasty appetizer combo. We had the pizza and pitcher of beer to share! Great deal and the pizza was tasty. The cheese and pepperoni was so good. And they have Wisconsinâs finest beer, Spotted Cow! I fell in love with this beverage. Amazing! It was a pretty wonderful evening and again the service by Brittany made it perfect.Enjoy Mineshaft Bar & Restaurant when in Hartford WI!

We go here about 3 or 4 times a year since we donât live that close. The steaks are dry aged and delicious. We enjoy the cozy atmosphere and friendly servers that are down to earth. Soup, salad, bread and starch options are good too! Good selection of wine.Thank you for the wonderful review! Hope to see you again when you are in the area.

Had the lunch specials bluegill and Sherwood Turkey Sandwich, both were very good. Bluegill may have been a leftovers from Friday night fish fry as a couple pieces were a little fishy. Service was wonderful and quick, which one would expect at lunch when the place is pretty empty. If planning on dining on Fri or Sat night reservations is a must. Overall very nice place, food was good and hot, more of a deluxe fast food menu. Well worth a visit!! Enjoy!!

Coffee Cafe
We stopped for lunch today on the recommendation of our B & B host. We ordered two dishes and ended up sharing them. One was a summer salad with craisins, praline pecans, greens, onions, grilled chicken, and a tasty honey poppy seed dressing. The sandwich was from their specials, and was a good creation. It was a grilled sandwich on a hearty bread, with brie, a peach spread, and turkey. It came with pickles and chips. Mmm. I would definitely go here again. There were more things on the menu I would like to try!
