My wife and my 93-year old Mom joined me for lunch at Spiros. The food was delicious, we just did not challenge the kitchen staff too much. Half-sandwich and soup, plus a couple beverages. My tuna melt was very good, the girls loved the french onion soup, but the tomato bisque was the best. Food a little slow coming to us, but we were first seating of the day. Would love to try dinner sometime.
We have enjoyed supper here several times - the service has been impeccable and friendly, the setting is lovely overlooking the lake but I keep ordering the wrong meal. Iâve had the Chicken Marsala twice and both times I didnât really like it. The taste was fine but the presentation wasnât appealing to me. I need to remember to order something else next time-like a steak, which always look delicious!!
This used to be Gina Marieâs, the menu is pretty similar. The service was friendly and the food is solid, not spectacular but good. I had the broasted chicken, very nice. Our group also had manicotti, grilled pork chop, and chicken parmigiana. Everyone enjoyed their food.

Used to think the only good Pizza in the entire Upper Peninsula was at The Riverside. No more --- Dina Mia of Florence is better! And the atmosphere is better too - nice chairs and tables instead of hard benches. Warm friendly surroundings with good service. And, of course they have a great menu beyond pizza, so in my book, this is now the place to go.

What a pleasant surprise! My son and I were headed east toward Mackinac and stopped in Florence to charge my Tesla. More out of curiosity, we walked into the beautiful old building across the street which boasted Maxell's restaurant "under new management." We were so pleasantly surprised. The bar was beautiful and the staff couldn't have been nicer. They even directed us to the public beach (which happened to be within walking distance) for a refreshing swim. As my son researched dining options east of Florence, it became clear that we should have dinner at Maxell's before moving on. The setting on the terrace overlooking Fisher Lake was great and the staff was fabulous. My tuna was excellent as was my son's salmon. The wine selection was very good and Spotted Cow was on tap. Sara and her husband have brought fine dining to this little jewel of a town. I wish them all the best and if I'm in the area in the future, I'll certainly stop in again.

This is a darling destination for a view of Keyes Lake and north woods decorum. The servers are very attentive and helpful and prompt. I appreciate that they have a hostess registration station to put your name in. They have a nice outside deck area for dining also. The fish fry for Friday has nice choices of various kinds of fish on the menu. (Wish they had bluegill) The prices are a bit high but not too much out of place compared to other establishments in the area. Our companions complained about the taste of the coleslaw. My baked Cajan cod was fine and the Alfredo side was very tasty. Everyone liked their fish orders. Our only complaint was that we had to wait so long for our food to be served. There weren't that many people in there. I do realize that getting good cooks and restaurant staff is very difficult today. So you deal with it.

Went with a larger group and was pretty impressed. Steaks, chops, chicken were all very good. The home made pasta was outstanding but the sauce is not Italian whatsoever. It is actually a little spicy which never should be the case. I truly enjoyed everything but the pasta sauce needs an over haul with a true Italian recipe. It was very funny to me that my best friend was there the night before and loved everything but the sauce, not just him but the entire family of 10. So outstanding place with one glaring issue, fix your pasta sauce and your good to go.

The staff at this pub are very friendly and helpful. The food choices are amazing! Besides having good great burgers and tacos, the Friday night fish dinners are superb! The beer prices are quite reasonable by the pint. Try the Cajun cod!

We stopped at Barbâs for lunch. It was as anticipated. A local diner. Big breakfast options. Since we were lunching, we had soup and sandwiches. Nothing special but down to earth home cooking. The server was very âhome townâ friendly. The clientele was mostly local and a few travelers. My turkey melt sandwich was as expected. A grilled cheese with turkey. Served with a smile.
