Went to Great Dane at the recommendation of a friend. He absolutely raved about it. But service was awful. The place was nearly empty yet it took forever for the waitress to come to our table each time. And food was very subpar. I just donât see the hype.

Opened May 2011. Used to be Buckshots. See them on Facebook (url above is to the newspaper article about them; they don't have a website).
Found this place thru a @Thrillist article for the best #chickenwings per state and these were the ones for #wisconsinThey're a little pricey at $10 for 10-12 wings and they only offer #dryrub or #buffalosauce (or combo of both) unless you want them #plainThey was a big no-no for me as the sauces, usually #bbq , are my favorite part about wings. That said, the dry rub was delicious and the #appetizers were cheap and delicious, especially the #breadedmushrooms and #jalapenopoppersOne other warning, this place is #cashonly . There is an atm outside if you need it though.I'd say the wings here are solid, but my search for the best will continue...
It's true - the Oaks Golf Course is one of the most scenic golf courses in South Central Wisconsin. But our full-service restaurant and bar - the Oakleaf Restaurant - is a fitting compliment to the atmosphere, giving you the total golf-and-dining experien
They advertise a Friday Fish Fry quite a bit but i haven't tried that yet. Been there with my nephew and solo for 4 meals over the last few months and like the food and setting. I play the golf course all the time so a fan there as well for anyone that likes golf as well. I've stopped by to practice chipping and putting on Friday nights and by the look of the parking lot the fish fry must be pretty good because it looks packed!
Like Dave and Busters but more family-oriented. Essentially reasonably priced bar food. Sandwiches, Pizza, and wraps dominate the menu. Food is good and portions are large. Tater tots are an interesting side. The arcade is a big draw for the little ones, with a wide variety of electronic machines and tacky prizes afterwards. A nice addition to the eastern suburbs of Madison.

Horrendous discrimination against a disabled young man and his mother...Lady, you won't have to worry about managing/owning a restaurant much longer. After the ADA has gone through the evidence and the witnessed comments you made, you'll be looking for another job. GOOD LUCK, its tough out there for unemployed waitresses.

Despite the owner's lack of attention to details such as the outdoor upkeep of the place and dismal salad bar, the burgers and french fries are good and consistently prepared. The portion of french fries has decreased and is on the skimpy side but always fried perfectly.
Stopped here for lunch when driving from Chicago to Minneapolis. Conveniently located right off the highway. Plenty of parking available. We had the puppy with us so one of us had to stay outside in bitter cold with him. When they found out that we had a dog with us they made sure to give us dog biscuit with our order for him. We both (hubby and I, not puppy terror) had a burger and a malt. I had a vanilla malt and hubby chocolate. Mine was very good and puppy terror enjoyed licking my straw when I was finished. Puppy terror approved as well. Burgers were hot and fresh. Everything tasted great and hit the spot!

I have never been disappointed here. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious!! The veggie egg Benedict reminds me of the Ritz Carlton in California. The service is also really great and the bakery is wonderful. I always bring my friends here for an excellent breakfast.

I was told about this restaurant by a friend who knows I like to find new restaurants a review them. they said "you have to try this place it's amazing"......The name does not depict the the title of the restaurant. It is a very nice upscale restauranr, pub and eatery. A very good place for a meeting, group gatherings, large dinners, a night out, first date,etc....My first visit was with 2 friends. We had a Burrito, Portabella sandwich and I had the chicken ceaser wrap. all came with a side. On my second vivit I took my daughter and her husband becuase it was a cekebration of birthdays, Mothers day and Fathers day.....They are foodies also and they were very amazed at the selections and the taste of thier foods. This time I tried the Portabell sandwich and it was awesome. And for dessert we shared the lemon blueberry cheesecake. If you want a very nice experience please treat yourself to lunch or dinner at The 1855 Saloon. You wont be sorry. Being an amature food critic in the Madison area and surrounding area. i would rate this restaurant in my top 5 in the area you need to visit...... Great job 1855........On a scale of 10 i would rate it 10+.
