Gotta give a shout out to the fantastic dinner my family enjoyed at John T's BBQ on the square in Winchester, TN. Some of the best dry-rub baby back ribs this Southern boy has ever eaten. Good sauce and sides but the highlight was the fall-off-the-bone ribs man!!! The restaurant needs to get added to Trip Advisor so more people know about it...on second thought, maybe I 'll keep it to myself.
The positives: the french fries were the hottest I've ever received anywhere. The baked beans were tasty and hot as well. The employees made you feel like you were part of their family greeting regulars that came in with hugs. The halloween decorations in the front waiting area are pretty amazing. The bbq meat and sauce were very tasty and one plate can easily fill up two people We brought enough food home for another meal. The employees keep this place very clean! I watched an employee wiping down the sauce bottles after the diners left. They really made a huge effort to make sure the table was spotless for the next group of visitors. I was very impressed at the cleanliness.
The negatives: Our bread (hoecake) was dry and we got choked on it. The pork wasn't served hot, it was only lukewarm. When we came in the restaurant, no one greeted us. Being out first time there, we walked to the back of the restaurant to find an employee to see if we seated ourselves or not. Everyone else that came in after us was met at the door and taken to a table with silverware and menus. Our waitress disappeared and we had to wait for another employee to come along and take our check.
Would we return? Yes, most definitely. The atmosphere was pleasant, plenty of decorations and wall hangings to look at. The food was priced reasonable with our pork and two sides and bread being just under $11. And the employees friendliness was over the top. We drove over 30 miles for my birthday dinner, it was worth the trip!

We are always on the lookout for a good breakfast spot. This is it. We arrived on a Thursday morning and the place was packed. We almost left. They said we could get seated in about 15 minutes so we stayed. Glad we did. Their staff did a great job of making us feel welcomed and promptly took our order after we were seated. The food came out quickly and was freshly made. Wife ordered O/M eggs which are hard to get right in restaurants. Her eggs were spot on perfect. I ordered a western omelette that was made with fresh farm eggs. Filling veggies were fresh and crunchy. My only recommendation for this place is to offer different cheese options in the omelettes. And perhaps add Eggs Benedict. We will be back again.

Had breakfast for the four of us. We had our family dog so my husband went after our breakfast. We each had the breakfast sandwich except my daughter a biscuit, egg, bacon and cheese. We wanted to go back for some ice cream but didn't take the time to do so. Reasonable prices and good food. We were there touring the marina and to allow my son to get on the free wi-fi for a little while. This wasn't the best free wi-fi and I couldn't leave my teenager there for a hour to enjoy it. They have a sign posted unattended children will be sent home with a cappachino and a puppy! lol If you dont feel like cooking at the camp I highly recommend! Pizza, ice cream, all types of things on their menu.

When this shop first opened several years ago, it was wonderful. I would stop in and get coffee on my way to work for a special treat. Then the expresso machine started breaking down and they would tell you the expresso was unavailable. Ok. Things like that happen. About a month ago I stopped in and the machine was down again (I was not told it was down) they used a small home appliance to make my cappuccino, when I got out to my car, and on the way home, my beverage tasted like hot water with milk in it. It was terrible. I would have much preferred to have been told the machine was down. A few days later I had the opportunity to go back and say something to the person working the front counter about my experience and I was completely ignored and treated as if my complaint was irrelevant. Today my husband and I went to lunch (very rare for us to do). The food was fine however the service at the counter was horrendous! The fellow that took our order, Jake, did not make eye contact, did not wait for the person ordering to step aside before asking the next customer what they wanted, and virtually acted like we, and everyone else in the restaurant, were a burden on him. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! I have to say it used to be a delight to stop in for a special treat, now it is just one disappointment after another. I will not be patronizing this establishment again.

Yamato's is a surprisingly good eatery for being where it is in the middle of rural Tennessee - maybe people there don't see it that way. Friendly servers and well cooked food. We did takeout since this was with local family and the portions were more than expected. We had the Bento diner - steak for two of us and chicken for the other - even included California rolls for those who wanted sushi.

This family owned diner is decorated like it just got transposed from the seventies with black and white tile floors, red dining room chairs, and older rock and roll music. The food is very good, ranging from hamburgers to a daily meat and three special. Definitely worth a try.

Had lunch here on a Saturday around 1:30. Not to busy so we were seated quickly. Service was good, atmosphere was good and very clean. Staff highly recommend the Delmonico Steak which I ordered medium rare with a side of sautéed mushrooms. To add 1 trip to the salad bar was an additional $3.99 which I thought was odd, so I passed. We all were served quickly and the mushrooms were good and the steak was to order. While the steak was large it was less than a half inch thick and tough for a Delmonico. Texas toast was good.

Tennessee style BBQ, with a real feel for hospitality, easy entrance, clean dining room, with lots of space. games for the kids, and the bbq is cooked the way barbeque should be. I had the ribs. "4 STARS" they fell of the bone, while holding their jucieness & flavor with every bite, I left wanting more, and will be back many times more. if you're in Winchester Tn. don't miss this country barbeque hot spot.

I am a partner in a business in Winchester Tennessee. When I visit Winchester I make it a point to eat at the oasis steakhouse. Scotty and his staff are always very friendly and the food is always extremely tasty. The salad bar is something that I would recommend. And of course I would recommend anyone visit the oasis steakhouse.
