There’s a mixed message. Dinner on both evenings was great. The joint managers Duncan and Scott are brilliant- attentive, well organised and interested in their customers. It’s clearly popular with the locals. The rooms are comfortable and adequate for a short stay. Ours didn’t have wardrobes but a hanging rail. There was no cooked breakfast as there is currently no breakfast chef and in fairness we were told about this when booking. There is a self service continental breakfast which for us was ok for the two nights we were there. Parking is brilliant - a long stay over the road (free between 1800 and 0800) which can be forward booked and very cheap. A lot has clearly been done in the hotel but details like dirty courtyard tables let it down a bit.

We stayed for a couple of nights for a family wedding in Wimbourne. The welcome and ongoing service we received from Karen (and her colleagues) when we arrived could not have been warmer, she genuinely cared about our experience and made us feel like she would do anything to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. She was friendly, patient and incredibly tolerant! I would definitely recommend the Kings Head to anyone heading to Wimborne for a short break.

We needed a room last minute during Easter weekend. Lady on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed two nights in room 3 (standard) and two nights in room 6 (luxury). Receptionist was honest about the small size of room 3. When we arrived we expected it to be smaller. Small but cosy. Room 6 was bigger but with window on High street (so a little bit of street noise). We absolutely loved our stay! Great location!

Fabulous stay at this B&B. Extremely clean and well maintained. Our room with ensuite was very comfortable and relaxing for our two night stay. Anne is extremely hospitable and Malcolm cooks a lovely English Breakfast, we had the vegetarian option which was very tasty. There was also cereals, fruit, yogurt with fresh berries as well as tea and coffee. In the centre of Wimborne on site parking and easy walking distance to Deans Court where we attended a wedding. Highly recommend a stay here and we would definitely return when in the area.

We just keep going back and each time we are made to feel so welcome and everything is great; They have taken a lot of time and trouble with safety measures following the covid situation. Alison and Mike run a very comfortable and homely guest house, and are always so helpful about places to visit, etc.

Welcome to the Horton Inn Hotel and Bar! Built in the eighteenth century the Horton Inn offers the perfect setting for your traditional country pub. Located on the edge of Horton village and Cranborne Chase AONB surrounded by endless countryside filled with British heritage waiting to be explored. From 14th century church ruins to Corfe Castle or the Earl of Shaftesbury’s 16th century historic home, the list goes on! Alternatively, if you were looking to soak up some local views we are only a stone’s throw away from the New Forest and its majestic wild horses, or a short drive from the breathtakingly beautiful Dorset Jurassic coast. As a country pub we understand the needs of walkers and their companions, so muddy boots are not frowned upon, and well-behaved dogs are more than welcome in the bar and restaurant areas as well as in our accommodation. We have a variety of sections and areas throughout the Inn to accommodate your every need, starting with our glorious pub garden or for chillier evenings a heated patio area. Alternatively snuggle up in one of our cosy pub corners and sit by our open fire or enjoy the ambience from our buzzing restaurant.
We went to the Horton Inn yesterday with our club of 38 people. It was superb. The staff managed so well, the service was excellent, the food delicious and well prepared; how they managed to do it so well, for so many was extraordinary. I would highly recommend the Horton Inn for great coffee, really good pub food and a nice friendly atmosphere. The car park is also easily accessible and very large. Highly recommended.

Diane and Terry provide a warm welcome and a very comfortable stay. The rooms are a nice size, immaculate and very comfortable. Tea and coffee is provided with a small fridge for fresh milk. Access and parking is easy and the kitchen diner is great for watching your fantastic breakfast being prepared whilst you chat with your host. The quality of the breakfast is superb. Local produce freshly cooked with traditional offerings ranging from the full English to Diane's delicious blueberry pancakes. Overall, great hosts and a first class place to stay.

Extremely poor. I would not recommend at all. Shocking experience, not what I would call glamping. There was no one about on site to help with anything, very dirty, very wet, no spare gas available for heater or cooker. A stressful and horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.
