A cosy and friendly 16th Century thatched freehouse with fantastic views of the Horton Folly Tower (with a circular walk to the tower starting from Drusilla's car park). We serve fresh and, if possible, locally sourced produce prepared from scratch in our own kitchens. A range of menus are available from Bar Snacks to our A La Carte with regular special offers. We serve a good selection of wines and Real Ales. Drusilla's also has a function room available for special occasions and weddings, and two state of the art luxury shepherd's huts for those wishing to stay the night with king sized beds, ensuite bathrooms and heating(really warm and cosy even in the snow)- the ultimate glamping experience - read our reviews!
10 friends had a "Christmas" lunch a week before Christmas, apart from one couple in the bar we were the only ones there! The food was disappointingly average the smoked mackerel pate was flavourless and too soft, and the hake very disappointing as were the rest of our meals. No atmosphere but a friendly member of staff who seemed to do everything. This pub has always been rather up and down its obviously down at the moment.

Modern British food including fresh fish, meat & seasonal game. Wide variety of vegetarian options.Monthly changing menus.Cracking ales, wines & ciders.
We visited for a festive lunch so Colonel Waffle had the Turkey and trimmings, while I had dal makhani. Sometimes, experimental vegetarian food works, sometimes it fails miserably. I certainly give them full marks for trying and, on this occasion, it was top- notch! We only had room for ice cream for afters, but, as that was the gorgeous Purbeck ice cream, it was a good choice. We love this pub -it is comfortable, and they had a real fire going, which with the Xmas decorations, made the place look even nicer than usual. We took our dog and we like the way the staff try to seat you so that the dog is not in the way and he’s comfy, too. The service was, as usual, efficient and friendly.

Went to this fab Italian after a show at the Tivoli theatre. It was a cold wet late nite on 10/2/18 . we were starving and wondered if being so late they would fit us in. Yes they did.....and we were so pleased as the food was amazing! Thank you all for a delicious meal. Wish I lived closer but we are 3 hours up the road!!

As someone that suffers with a disability (tourettes), I thought I'd found a safe haven in the Old Thatch, somewhere that I wouldn't be judged for my occasional outbursts. Based next to 2 large industrial estates, the early evening crowd are mainly hard working people letting off a little steam, and my very occasional use of profanities has never seemed out of place. I've been using the pub regularly for 5 + years with no issues. However, last Friday, things changed. The landlord (an older man with some personal hygiene problems), upon hearing one of my unavoidable 'moments', approached myself and my friends and without warning is, asked us to leave and not return. My friend tried to explain my disability, but to no avail. I heard the old man say 'I hate the disabled'. At this point we left, shocked and saddened by his treatment of good customers.

The Old Inn is a traditional country pub in the heart of the idyllic village of Holt. Situated close to the historic town of Wimborne Minster, The Old Inn is the perfect destination when you fancy a homemade, traditional pub meal.
Arrived to be greeted by friendly lady who asked for our name, and showed us to our table.
Staff busy buzzing around serving a full restaurant of happy mothers for our special day.
We opted for the two courses, some had starter and main, others had main and pud.
Soup and deep fried brie came out and looked very tasty.
We all opted for roast dinners of different varieties, Roast Beef, Roast Lamb, Roast Pork. Bit of a wait for this...... Presentation was ok, excellent vegetables, however the meat selections were disappointing, fatty smallish portions.
Now for pudding!
Choice being, Spotted Dick, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Crème Brulé, Lemon Tart with Raspberry Coulis, Hazelnut Brownie, Bakewell Tart....
We went for Lemon Tart, Hazelnut Brownie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.....
Puddings definitely the best part of the meal.
Pleasently served, friendly and helpful staff.

Set in picturesque Wimborne Minster, The Tickled Pig serves an eclectic array of traditional British and modern European cuisine. Proudly growing many of their own ingredients, The Tickled Pig also uses produce sourced from the finest local suppliers. The daily changing menu of fresh seasonal produce allows the passionate chefs to create a tantalising menu including delicious seafood and meat dishes.
Three of us had lunch here, two were content with the set menu but one went a la carte as the set offering was quite limited. The music was a little loud for a trio who wanted to chat. The food was good and the service was excellent, and I would come again, I think there is more to this place which I would like to experience.

This was my first time here. The menu is Indian and Nepalese - so plenty of different dishes from the "normal curry house"
The quality of all of our meals was absolutely excellent. The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant.
We will definitely go back.
