We just keep going back and each time we are made to feel so welcome and everything is great; They have taken a lot of time and trouble with safety measures following the covid situation. Alison and Mike run a very comfortable and homely guest house, and are always so helpful about places to visit, etc.

Welcome to the Horton Inn Hotel and Bar! Built in the eighteenth century the Horton Inn offers the perfect setting for your traditional country pub. Located on the edge of Horton village and Cranborne Chase AONB surrounded by endless countryside filled with British heritage waiting to be explored. From 14th century church ruins to Corfe Castle or the Earl of Shaftesbury’s 16th century historic home, the list goes on! Alternatively, if you were looking to soak up some local views we are only a stone’s throw away from the New Forest and its majestic wild horses, or a short drive from the breathtakingly beautiful Dorset Jurassic coast. As a country pub we understand the needs of walkers and their companions, so muddy boots are not frowned upon, and well-behaved dogs are more than welcome in the bar and restaurant areas as well as in our accommodation. We have a variety of sections and areas throughout the Inn to accommodate your every need, starting with our glorious pub garden or for chillier evenings a heated patio area. Alternatively snuggle up in one of our cosy pub corners and sit by our open fire or enjoy the ambience from our buzzing restaurant.
We went to the Horton Inn yesterday with our club of 38 people. It was superb. The staff managed so well, the service was excellent, the food delicious and well prepared; how they managed to do it so well, for so many was extraordinary. I would highly recommend the Horton Inn for great coffee, really good pub food and a nice friendly atmosphere. The car park is also easily accessible and very large. Highly recommended.

We needed a room last minute during Easter weekend. Lady on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed two nights in room 3 (standard) and two nights in room 6 (luxury). Receptionist was honest about the small size of room 3. When we arrived we expected it to be smaller. Small but cosy. Room 6 was bigger but with window on High street (so a little bit of street noise). We absolutely loved our stay! Great location!

Fabulous stay at this B&B. Extremely clean and well maintained. Our room with ensuite was very comfortable and relaxing for our two night stay. Anne is extremely hospitable and Malcolm cooks a lovely English Breakfast, we had the vegetarian option which was very tasty. There was also cereals, fruit, yogurt with fresh berries as well as tea and coffee. In the centre of Wimborne on site parking and easy walking distance to Deans Court where we attended a wedding. Highly recommend a stay here and we would definitely return when in the area.

I went to Wimborne for a gig at the Tivoli Theatre and decided to make a long weekend of it. I loved the friendly picturesque town, especially walking along the two rivers, and really enjoyed my stay. This b&b is very close to the town centre and I was impressed by the hospitality. The self service breakfast was excellent with lots of options of food and Charles provided soya milk for me as well as maps and walking books. The room was comfortable and clean. The only downside was that the b&b is on a busy road so it was too noisy to have the window open in my room. I also went to a wonderful yoga class at the Lusso yoga studio where I received a warm welcome.

The place came recommended, and became a let down. Booked in via late rooms, 2 adults, 2 children, B&B as stated. Somewhere in the booking they didn't receive the children, aged 3&5, charged an extra £80 for the children, informed was a futon mattress on booking, but was few cushions thrown on the floor, and no breakfast supplied! There was a breakfast menu in the room, yet were told 'we don't do breakfast anymore!'. The room was comfortable, hence why no one star rating. In the end the children stayed with the relatives we came down to see, very disappointed.

This is amazing place. Really quirky, traditional grade 2 listed building ( if you want pretentious modern, don’t come and start moaning). Loads of games and entertainment in-house. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for the kids. In great location for getting to local attractions. Yes it’s on a very busy road, but it didn’t bother us. It’s a lovely walk around the land out the back and if you like fishing I saw couple of nice pike come out by anglers in the river when walking the dog. My only down sides was because I’m over 6 foot tall and I did put a few dent in the wooden beams with my thick head…lol and it was a touch cold at this time of year. But the fire soon walked things up. I’d also say if you have unsteady kids the stairs might keep you on your toes. But ours were 4, 7, 10, 11 and were all fine. We will return again??

We stayed here for two nights in august on a biking weekend at the cross keys pub. Kimberley was a lovely lady, very helpful and friendly. Nice room very spacious and beautiful gardens. The dogs were delightful. Could have done with some shelving in the bathroom to put stuff on whilst using the sink etc, not a criticism but a nice to have, apart from that it was fab, great breakfast and plenty of tea etc in the room. Would definitely recommend - lovely and quiet for a peaceful stay.
