Wiltz (Luxembourgish: Wolz, pronounced [ˈvolts]) is a commune with town status in north-western Luxembourg, capital of the canton Wiltz. Wiltz is situated on the banks of the river Wiltz. It was also a battleground in the Battle of the Bulge, near the end of World War II. A local airfield (near the village of Noertrange) was used by both sides of the conflict, depending on the location of the Front.

We literally stumbled upon this place by chance. After a long day of tromping all over Luxembourg and Belgium looking at WWII sites, we were on our way back to Wiltz. Being vegetarian, I was having a hard time finding somewhere to eat in Wiltz that wasn't a pizza place. I suggested Clervaux as we had been to this town the day before and it seemed like they might have more places to choose from. We landed here with the pleasant surprise of having 2 vegetarian choices listed on the menu!!
Although we didn't have Reservations, they were able to accommodate us immediately. Our waiter was very kind and patient with our French and our food came out promptly! My husband had a trout that had been caught locally and I had a vegetable souffle that was melt in your mouth delicious.
After dinner, the chef (who is also the owner) came out to talk to us. He is the 3rd generation owner of the hotel and restaurant and was very personable and welcoming. In fact - I was sorry that we hadn't booked a stay in the hotel!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant experience with outstanding service.

This restaurant presents itself as a finer Italian restaurant. The menu displays classic Italian dishes: Pastas, risottos, etc. I would say that it is Italian made in a typical Luxembourg way and that is not necessarily a compliment if you are out to dine real Italian food. As such, there was nothing wrong with the food. It just was not that Italian. My Vitello Tonnato probably was veal with a tuna sauce, but it was presented as Luxembourg charcuterie with a garnish of tasteless mixed vegetables rather than with the capers which in my view are essential for the dish. My Cotoletta Milanese was more like a schnitzel, just not crispy as it should be. The garnish fine, but not really Italian... The restaurant is beautifully set in the centre of the small village, and the decor is stylish. Why not have a genuine Italian kitchen to go with it?

Visited Clervaux off season and had lunch at Brasserie Koener located in the heart of the village just in the shadow of the castle. The food was quite good but not exceptional. The trout was lovely, the schnitzel was average. Portions were generous. Service was great, but the wine selection was limited. Prices were about average for a decent restaurant in Luxembourg.

Close to Bastogne you find this restaurant situated in a little village.
Friendly welcome.
Nice modern and clean ambiente.
Excellent and innovative food well combined and tasty.
Different choices of pre-set menus.
Can recommend the 55 Euro one with wine pairing for 30 Euros.
Be prepared to discover also special finds, for example one of the complimentary "amuses bouche" was grilled grashopper.... it was prepared ready to eat (no legs, no wings) and very crisp with a taste that reminds you of grilled nuts!
Special mention for the "Irish coffee" which was served "selon les règles de l'art".
Looking forward to come back :)
Advanced table reservation is a good idea.

We have been there twice now. The food is really excellent with big portions. They do Italian specials, but you also find regualrs like steaks etc. The service in the restaurant is friendly and fast ( not normal here in Luxembourg ). The location is nice and clean. And prices are below average! All in all really a good choice and to be recommended. Book in advance as they are always full!

The meat was delicious, place very nice. Service could be better and smiles would be welcomed but definitely the one place to eat in Clervaux.

Sans aucun "chi-chi", vous êtes très bien accueillis. La cuisine typique est d'un bon niveau ni hors de prix. Un menu aux environs de 20€ vous permet de gouter diverses spécialités, dont le canard laqué que je trouve personnellement un des meilleurs de la région. Point de passage obligé lors d'un retour de courses et plein de carbu! au Grand Duché. Wiltz Bas carrefour route vers Bastogne parking aisé.

Really à well managed place to go whenever you want. Kindness to offer you addition al slides ok cake with your real capucino and expresse yesterday. Very attent to satisfy you at each moment. We went some months again for dinner and enjoyed it.

Very nice restaurant for lunch. Great concept to include people with a handicap. Prices are very good as the quality of the food. The nearby Gardens of Wiltz are great for having a nice walk after eating
