We had an amazing view of the foliage on the mountain side at sunset overlooking the brook. Dinner was delicious. We had appetizers of the scallops and the stuffed mushrooms both prepared perfectly. For dinner we had pan fried trout that was fresh and tasty. Service was terrific and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. There's a wonderful outdoor patio and bar club next-door both worthy of your visit.

With a retail store in Lake Placid and store in Wilmington you'll fall in love with all of their chocolate products made on-site. You have an awesome choice of coconut, white/dark/milk & fudge in a well run environment with great service.
They also ship their products for holidays and gifts. Well worth the visit to solve your sweet tooth.

We had breakfast here this morning, visiting for the first time this wonderful addition to the Jay/Upper Jay/Keene community. The food was just marvelous, and it was incredibly well priced. Breakfast for 2 was $19--this covered coffees, an order of poached eggs on corned beef hash and an order of link sausage and three fluffy pancakes with a generous helping of REAL MAPLE SYRUP that came in a pitcher that had been warmed up. The plates were thoughtfully created, with citrus and strawberry to add color and chopped parsley on the eggs. I mention this because most similar places in the area just don't seem to care how the food LOOKS. I have not had a better breakfast in a long time. On your way out the door, you can add an order of homemade fudge, which we did, and a few pounds of the house roasted coffee beans, for which this place is known. We cannot recommend it more highly---and it's apparently popular, because it has only been open about a month, and there were people waiting to be seated for breakfast at 10:30 am. We hope they do well in this charming location, and we will certainly be regulars when we are visiting in the area.

Gorgeous view of mountains and the river! Service was excellent. Greeted immediately and warmly. Gave us the option of inside or on the deck. We chose the deck even though it was chilly outside. She immediately added more wood to the fire for us and...MoreThank you so much for the kind words. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again.

I was not sure how to characterize this business with the choices given; the Little Super Market isn’t a restaurant, it’s a grocery store with a GREAT deli. Wilmington is a fairly rural place with only a handful of eateries so I think this is an important addition. Anyone taking a trip to Wilmington should know about this place…great fresh subs and sandwiches, the best lunch in the Adirondacks! Just my two cents but it should probably be cross referenced with Lake Placid, as many people stay in Lake Placid and drive the 10 miles or so into Wilmington and go to Whiteface Mountain. Thank you for your time and for further interest I am attaching the link to their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/pages/Little-Supermarket/186532989822?sk=wall
So I walk in and inquire about getting some sandwiches to go and I get that "What are you doing here" look!! And a "Its going to be awhile" response with a nasty glare...Whoa...pretty grumpy people here...took my business to someone that wanted it.

Breakfast and lunch and a bakery
Columbus weekend at our home away from home. Decided to try the Country Bear for breakfast - we have never dined here before. It was full when we arrived so we had a 10 minute wait.. I didn't mind, I was excited for breakfast!!! We were seated in a timely manner, friendly people that worked there.. My husband wanted French toast, but the menu does state it takes extra time for French toast. In the time that we waited to be seated, and then given time to look over the menu and get coffee, a table were waiting for French toast so we opted out of that. No sausage gravy on the day we went either.. completely bummed over that. Our meals arrived and my daughter had a hair in her pancakes (deal breaker for me) My meal was not out of this world. The potatoes were very bland, although my husband liked them. My bacon had no flavor what-so-ever. Our food was not horrible, but not good enough for me to go back. My husband does want to go back for French toast, so he will prob go by himself.

The ingredients were well chosen and tasty. The dishes were well prepared, presented and tastefull. The atmosphere was quaint and enjoyable. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff were very kind and helpfull. There were some homemade delicacies on the salad bar that realy stood out, like the pickles. My only issue were the pie was still frozen a bit and an ingredient adbertised on the other desert was not available. Both were aparently due to it being opening day but are still issues none the less.

I typically don't eat at these type places very often but what the heck, I was on vacation. Had the chili cheese dog with fries and a big mug of root beer. the root beer was the best part, The dog was quite small and messy to eat. I guess that's why they provide a plastic knife and fork. Friendly wait staff and fairly quick service.
Everything was about what you'd expect from such a place.

nice selections of beers......if you are not sure, the waitress will bring you a small sample to sip , that will certainly help you decide.
