I like the old style art deco type buildings and the high ceilings. To have accommodation where you do not feel cramped and you have space and you are not paying any extra for it is lovely. Convenient to all of the shops and sights of the area and yet not noisy. We had the double bedroom apartment which also had the balcony which allowed us to chat to some of the locals.

Dirty laundry found in the washing machine which had blood on it…we were down for a hospital visit and we’re not so pleasantly surprised to find the washing machine full of dirty linen. Not what I wanted to have in the apartment with a 3yr old.

Have stayed at Punthill before and enjoyed our stay, so when the opportunity came up to stay in Williamstown, we jumped at the chance to book again. Comfortable, quiet, under ground off road parking. Handy to everything. Happy to come back again when we next get the chance.

Looks nice on website and you’d think it would be a nice place to stay being in Williamstown and being on the water buuutttt no …you definitely don’t want to even take your shoes off inside as the carpet is visibly disgusting the couch could do with a clean. The bed at least is ok it’s clean, that’s if you even get to sleep with the noise to all hours of the night then when the noise finishes the people leaving are definitely not thinking about guests as they depart. Staff are nice. Just desperately needs a update but then its still going to have the noise.

Large open kitchen living with French doors onto the courtyard. 1 Queen bedroom with en-suite. Second mezzanine room with twin beds Washing machine. The Stephanies Cottage apartments are half way between the shops and the beach (10 minute walk each way). They are also only a 2-minute walk from Williamstown North Station so it is an easy train ride into the CBD.
We found the experience great. Cottage is in North Williamstown so a fifteen minute walk to foreshore. Cottage was great with very flexible sleeping arrangements. The cottage gave us space where we were not in each other's pockets for the whole week. The kitchen was great but in our case under-utilised. The location is perfect for travelling around though and is a hundred metres from train station and one stop from Newport. The Junction Hotel is a one minute walk from Newport train station and it has to be the best pub in Australia. There are couple of minor problems but Melissa has told us she will be remedying them. We would highly recommend this cottage and we will now be trying to get here all the time instead of inner city hotel accommodation. Also we were welcomed with a basket of complimentary goods which was a nice touch.

Booked 1 night as I was celebrating New Years some complain about the shoes policy but it wasn't a problem for me I enjoyed the stay & had a good sleep & the breakfast was good the only downside is the price I've stayed in hotels for a cheaper rate
