Great service, friendly employees! The food was good, coffee was great! Parking on street so that can be hard to find a spot. Open just for breakfast and lunch.

Whether you are looking for a light afternoon snack, a delicious entree, or just a few well poured boat drinks Gordy's has got you covered. Located in Fontana on the west end of lake our waterfront restaurants offer a stunning view of Lake Geneva while you dine. We offer a few different dining options to meet your every taste. Gordy's Boat House bar/restaurant is our signature restaurant serving lunch and dinner daily, a wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, including our local favorite - margaritas, and in season on weekends we also offer late night dj and dancing. Gordy's Surf Shack is open seasonally June, July, and August and serves fresh deli sandwiches, salads, smoothies, French fries, ice cream, and more. Gordy's Cobalt Lounge (upstairs Boat House) can be reserved for private parties and has an absolutely spectacular view of Geneva Lake. All are located in the Heart of Fontana's Lakefront, so come by boat and dock on one of Gordy's 3 available piers or enjoy our boat valet service during Marina business hours. Located on the waterfront in Fontana you will enjoy some of the best views of Geneva Lake while you dine.
A short drive from Lake Geneva is the less crowded Fontana. And down by the quieter side of the lake is Gordy's Boathouse Bar and Restaurant. Heavily wooden and nautically decorated, the staff is friendly and the food is very good. As a matter of fact, the prime beef Swiss burger I had was probably one of the best I've had in a very long time. My husband had the huge chu cho burger which comes with 2 slices of bacon, fried egg, Freud onions and Swiss and cheddar cheese (trying eating that!)--a bit messy but very filling. The Wisconsin white cheddar cheese curds may be a small appetizer but they are also delicious. Lots of flatbreads, wraps, tacos, and sandwiches also on the lunch menu with entrees listed for dinner (seafood, pasta, ribs, and filet). Great views but on street parking is limited (we parked on the municipal lot and cut through the park).

Local New Ice Cream Restaurant
Dip in the bay is a cozy, "lake" themed ice cream shop. The ice cream is the star here- delicious, interesting flavors. The service is charming, with local teens usually manning the place. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby. Small seating area adjacent to the ice cream shop is charming and filled with historical photos of the Williams Bay Area.

Visit Kilwins Lake Geneva for our premium Ice Cream in 32 flavors, fresh handmade waffle cones, Copper Kettle Mackinaw Island Fudge and delicious candy treats handmade in our candy kitchen!
If you are a caramel fan, you must try the secret Kilwin recipe, cooked in those traditional copper kettles. I personally don't care for the sea salt version (Can we please stop sprinkling sea salt on EVERYTHING?), but the regular makes my heart go pitter-patter.
You can buy a jar of the topping; you can buy it lavished over apples, with all the decadent extras; you can buy it layered in the Snappers; you can buy the solid square with its own Kilwin's wooden knife; you can buy the six-pack of chews; or you can buy the individual chews (which are so easy to carry around....or stash by the computer or any other screen). You could even buy some for me.

We stopped by for lunch. We like to try private owned vs chain restaurants. The building and decor is bright and festive. The menu is...weird with cryptic comments interspersed throughout. Even our waitress had no clue what it meant or why. My husband had a patty melt and fries - average quality . I ordered the teriyaki portabella salad, it was indescribably terrible. The waitress took it off our bill and gave us a dessert. The pie was good.
Oh, and cash only!

I went here with my parents and my wife tonight. Our server was very pleasant and was an excellent salesperson in her energetic descriptions of the dishes. At the end of the meal, after we informed her we wouldn't be having dessert, she still told us about a mango dessert because we "had to try it next time." It was nice to see the server take such pride in their food.
We had the chicken coconut soup (#13 - I can't remember the name of the soup) which was excellent and had a nice mild heat to it. We also had the Thai egg rolls which were very good. I had the Pad ginger chicken, which was excellent and had plenty of zip to it, due to the ginger. My wife had the sweet and sour chicken, which had large chunks of green pepper, tomato and pineapple. The fruit and veggies were grilled, which added a nice extra flavor that usually isn't present with most sweet and sour dishes. My parents had the cashew chicken which they enjoyed.
I have to once again say how energetic and pleasant our server was. She clearly wanted to make sure we had a great experience at the restaurant, which we did.

Boxed and Burlap has a unique and welcoming physical design. Extras include a seasonal greenhouse, garden/flower plants and a summer farmer's market.. The coffee and local sourced pastries are well above standard and staff are always pleasant. It's a relatively quiet and non rushed environment, perfect for a leisurely coffee conversation with friends. It is the antithesis of a busy, noisy Starbucks. From my view, it is the best coffee shop in Williams Bay.

Café Calamari
Outstanding!!! This is the go-to place in the Lake Geneva area!
Had dinner with my wife during a long weekend get-away at Lake Geneva. We walked in to a beautifully appointed restaurant – sparkling with lights, and vines, and coziness. The wait staff could not have been better - very attentive and speedy, but gave us time to just sit and relax and enjoy ambiance. As far as the food is concerned, the waitress commented about how the chef takes as much pride in the steak and seafood as the pasta. So, we opted to skip a traditional pasta dinner and go with steak and seafood. The filet melted like butter and the salmon was fresh and full of flavor. Outstanding!!!! We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and can’t wait to visit again during our next visit to Lake Geneva.
