We were looking for a quick beach get away for just the two of us. We didn’t need anything extravagant, just something clean to lay our heads. This place was a hidden gem! We were able to park the car (although it was very tight parking) and we did not have to move it. We were able to walk to and from the beach/boardwalk within minutes. (Super plus for two 20-something individuals who were able to enjoy the night life) They let us check in a tad early which was super generous and the rooms were above expectations. Clean, comfortable and enough pillows (6 total). Beds were comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. There was some sort of parade and a group of people enjoying their time- with the air conditioner you couldn’t hear them. We didn’t care much anyway. Family friendly environment with the pool. We did not visit the pool on this occasion. Although a tad pricey, it was worth it for us to be so close to the boardwalk and for us to get back safely without having to worry about an Uber/Lyft or one of us getting behind the wheel.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed staying at the Beach Colony Motel. Although it is in a great location, which is close to the beach and pet friendly, the property and rooms are very run down with very little amenities provided. For the price paid, which is the price you would pay for a good hotel, there were only towels and some soaps provided in the bathroom. A glass shelf was falling off the wall. so I had to be very careful about using it. There was a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, coffee pot and toaster, but no coffee or creamers provided. Luckily, I did bring my own shower essentials. I did bring this information to the manager, Leslie, and she told me that the owner of the motel does not provide these things. You have to request room service by placing a sign on your door. I'm just giving everyone a heads up to bring these items if you decide to stay here, I hope they repair the glass shelf in the bathroom before the next guest arrives, but I did not see Leslie make a note of it or write down the room number, after I told her about the issue. I would not stay at the Beach Colony Motel a second time.

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay here. The themed rooms were so fun, and the entire place is like stepping back in time. Sheila has an eye for detail and making sure her guests are well taken care of. The best part? Breakfast in the morning! She was able to easily accommodate gluten free and dairy free for me, I loved how you could order your breakfast each morning. Sheila's energy and passion for her job is what truly makes the place so special. ADDED BONUS - there are bikes to ride to the board walk!

We had 20 families stay at this hotel for a competition at the convention center. Not a single family had a good experience. Rooms: bed covers and blankets were blood stained or had cigarette burns on them, floors were dirty, mildew in the bathrooms (shower curtains, ceilings) unable to use heat because there was too much dust in the filter and on the cover, some rooms had no blankets for the beds, one room had poop on the floor. When asked for blankets or a clean bed cover they were never received or told they weren’t blood stains and they couldn’t do anything about it. The room with poop, yah the family cleaned it because no one ever showed up to do it . Gross. You had to wait for someone to be in the office (3 hours for some) just to get a roll of toilet paper. Thankfully one of the families had Clorox wipes so we could clean the rooms a little. Smoke detectors were not all installed, old appliances, no coffee pot in the rooms, some doors inside locks didn’t work. Parking: they do have free off road parking if you want to leave your keys to your vehicle in the office that someone is rarely in. When you have to run to Walmart to get pillows and blankets and use your own cleaning wipes just to stay in a room you pay a lot of money for and get your issues completely ignored, it’s a problem. If we had other options or thought we could have gotten our money back, we all would have stayed elsewhere. Other than it’s location, completely GROSS and not worth a dime of your money.

Time for a more recent review of this place, I could have titled this "it is what it is". A very basic motel that's better priced than most in the area. The room was good sized, the fridge kept things freezing cold and the TV was good. Dave at the front desk was nice and the location was great. While the pool was fine, the grounds felt really crowded and I was glad I was able to get in there quickly when no one else was around. The bathroom was weird (I've never seen a lower sink), had the tiniest slabs of soap and the bedding and towels were lame. While the rules are firm on no smoking in rooms, there's no avoiding the smell if everyone is sitting on the walkway smoking. It did the trick for two nights.

Room was dirty. Smell in bathroom. Kids running around jumping in and out pool no dicipline in pool area. No adult only swim time. Little Kids up very late disturbing peace while parents partying outside thier room. MUSIC which is not allowed at all was played by some outside anyway. People doing shots and drinking at poolside with small children in and around pool. Pool dirty . Insects , stuff floating around, in, on and underwater never saw pool skimmed the whole week. Most middle aged or older people left pool area because you could not enjoy any quiet relaxing time. They offer a kid pool but most kids were in the deeper part of pool with floats, toys etc. They have two grills at the pool only one works!! Good luck getting on that one. Chairs to sit outside your room are NOT next to your door you have to sit in front of your neighbors door and their smoking comes right in your room along with their foul language and late night partying. Does not make any sense. Many complained. Nothing done.

We are located 1/2 block from the beautiful and environmentally safe free beaches, the piers, arcades and amusements of Wildwood's famed boardwalk and the finest in dining... Truly something for everyone. The Wildwood experience awaits you.The Key West Hotel features rooms suited for couples or small families who are shopping on a budget. We provide free Wi-Fi, free parking for 1-vehicle, and daily maid service.
My family and I booked this hotel last minute because of the price and location. Front desk is not staffed 24/7 so you have to walk around to another hotel to check in and get your room key. As a family of 4 the room was small and the bathroom was even smaller, the A/C is ok, but my husband accidentally turned on the fan instead of the A/C. Location is great but that’s about it. Would not want to stay here again.

We are under new management and took over from January 2018 and have done major changes all rooms painted freshly inside , outside property . What you have look with old pictures and how it looks now, its completely different . Soon we will upload new pictures.
The room was very clean. The maids were working around the clock and their hard work showed. The rooms were small. And the bathroom very outdated. Small sink with no room for toiletries. The beds were very comfy tho. The location is perfect. Quick walk up to the boardwalk. The pool was nice and the outdoor sitting area was comfortable. We were able to use one of the two grills on the premise to make dinner. We made ourselves at home and enjoyed spending 4 days there! As long as your ok with a typical beach motel with no frills attached you should be happy here.

Liked: Room size was spacious, beds very comfortable, but the mattress was a bit high for me since I am a short person, I had a little difficulty getting into it. Had big fridge, microwave. Disliked · Beds too far away from nightstand, we couldn't reach the table from the bed. No small table or chairs to sit at, you had to sit in the bed to watch TV, room had a sofa but it was not facing the tv. No hangers in closet, or actually no bar to hang a hanger. The linens were very clean, but the shower was not so good, there was brown grime on the wall tiles and in the grout, seems they don't clean that part of the shower at all. There was a used soap still in the shower niche. There was big black spots on the ceiling, I'm assuming mold. Towels and wash clothes were sufficient, the sink and toilet were very clean, and there was new soap packets on the sink. Their check in policy is ridiculous, if you want to check in before 4 pm, you have to pay $20 extra for every early hour! The guy at the front desk was very nice for check in, but after that day, for the next 2 days until we checked out, the office was closed, no one on the premises, you had to call a phone number to check out or if you had a question or issue. Also, no maid service after our first day of check in. The area was not too good, lots of closed and boarded up buildings and businesses, was a bit leery to walk around there in the evening so we drove closer to the boardwalk and paid for parking.

Stayed here Labor Day weekend. It's been awhile since we have stayed in a hotel in Wildwood and we were not disappointed with this one. The owners are very sweet and accommodating. The unit was clean with a great little kitchenette, with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee pot. There were also dishes, pans, etc, although we did not use them except for coffee cups. The best is that they are dog-friendly. We would definitely go back again.
